I just recently started watching it, got hooked on it and watched all episodes in 2 days. I can't wait new episode, anime is honestly suprisingly good.
Was a few months since I last watched an anime so I decided to pick one up in my to watch list.
Picked Elfen Lied and ended up watching all 13 episodes at once + 1 filler.
It was great!
I loved the mix of the awkward nudity-comedy moments (usually not a huge fan of nudity in anime but in EL they were hilarious), gore and the dark-ish story.

Then I recommend the manga too, it's so much better and has a more interesting plot.

No it's not. The manga is about equal in quality compared to the anime, but both being good and bad at different things. Neither of them are especially good, but they're decent at least.
