Big aoe cc, high damage, and relatively safe with a solid lane. Nautilus jungle was too low but it still isn't great by any means. IE is not a significant powerspike on its own, while triforce is a huge one. Kog works well with lots of supports too, (janna, nami, morgana, zilean, lulu to name a few) the zyra example is really odd.
