As a top lane main, I'd suggest you to try out Darius, Sion or Hecarim. All 3 are relatively easy to play (especially Darius, the guy is ridiculously easy to learn and whacks inexperienced players in seconds). Sion's damage falls off a little bit late game, but he has very strong Crowd Control and a strong initiate ( Unstoppable Onslaught, provided you hit someone like their ADC means certain death for them 70% of the time and it has a ridiculous cooldown of ~40s). As far as Hecarim goes, I do not own him, but I played him when he was free and had a good time with him.

I'd suggest Darius. He's super easy to play (Like probably top 5 easiest in the game), is very strong, and doesn't have too many actual strong counters that people actually play ( ).
If you're looking for something off-meta that can actually work, I would suggest Talon, Zed, or Quinn. Neither are that great top - there are much better - but they can work. I wouldn't suggest them, but they can be fun top.
