Massive lapse in knowledge when it comes to other languages IN MY experience. Been going on holiday there for 10 years and whenever I like go to a store and say "hi" to the cashier they reply with yasos and point with their finger at the cash register to tell me how much €€€.
Although since Serbs are common tourists there some people know to say ćao or zdravo so there's that :D

Well, if you still don't know what για σας means, they're literally just saying hi back.

Well, the other thing you'd probably want to know is τη κάνεις (ti kanis) in which you should reply "kala". It's literally "how are you doing?", in which you reply good. It really means what are you doing, but I doubt anyone will ask you that.
Also good to know would be "δεν καταλαβένω" (then katalaveno) which means "I don't understand" and "δεν μιλάω ελληνικά" (then milao ellinika) which means "I don't speak Greek".
My Greek is actually quite atrocious, but I know enough to get around.
