Casual sidebar to the "raising taxes" thing. He's mostly planning to do it for the rich. Like, actually make them pay their fair share instead of everything being a write-off and them still keeping a ridiculous amount, while still holing on to like, 4 houses, a few cars and a private island somewhere.
Secondly, and this isn't directed at anyone in particular, keep it civil here, alright? The kinda stuff definitely has the potential to make everyone hate each other.

So, I do have to apologize for my first post. It didn't convey what I meant and was fairly harsh. Also, I woke up at 2:15 this morning, an hour early, and was fairly irritable and when I saw the original post, I just saw Mooninites as this woman. This is what "free ****" felt like it meant.
To the other stuff, I was talking about mostly unemployment and food stamps and such rather than medicare which is my bad for being on a tangent.
I do feel like you all saw my posts and went "he's a republican, so he obiously is against everything I believe in!" but just because I am on a side doesn't mean I blindly subscribe to all of its facets (as an example, I feel that the bailout scandal years back was one of the stupidest things ever) and don't have the capacity to think for myself.
Finally, I'm not a Trump fan. He spouts out whatever comes to mind and his plans are super unrealistic but his initial point, illegal immigration is something that needs to be dealt with, not rewarded, is spot on. I just hope he isn't the candidate because he is too hasty and unprepared and can't stop himself from being a child on social media sites.

A country where people can die outside of a hospital if they don't have money shouldn't be called a "developed country". Also, your grandchildren might have economic and/or health problems, so they could one day be thankful of you paying a bit more of taxes for it, even if you wouldn't need it yourself.
The only people that actually end up "losing" in the deal are rich families that know their heirs won't need state care, and whose work can't compare to people that couldn't afford the commodities they had since their birth. These people are casually who attack more harshly these measures, because they know they won't see the benefits, and some of them have enough opinion weight as to actually convince people that would be benefitted both short and long term that they should be against it.

Also, if they're exploitable that's no reason to be against these kinds of measurements. It is a reason to strive and improve the system instead.
