The Zed + Maw nerfs make me immensely happy, even if I think hexdrinker is still too strong atm when compared to Seeker's Armguard, and Zhonya's Hourglass is still a ***** to build.
Irelia buffs tho...urgh.

Zed's nerf was really nice to see. I do still think that Hexdrinker is too strong of an item though. I think that they need to up its cost because vs an AP mid it basically gives them AP, AD and health for only 150 more gold than a seeker's.
I hope rito adds another item that builds off of Seeker's Armguard too.

I'm wondering at the splash art decisions. Maybe I missed it or I'm not aware of some behind the scenes technical issues, but it seems like a missed opportunity from Riot to put the choices up to a community vote. From what I gather they did some sort of yay or nay internally, and though it is only my opinion, some of the replacements are lacking compared to the ones they are replacing. E.g. The replacement for the
Renegade Talon
skin, while never my favorite Talon skin, looks rather goofy.
It also somewhat affects play as their new thumbnails show up while playing and it can take a second to place the champion. It took me a recheck or two for me to confirm that we had an Irelia against us in one game.

I think they should consider buffing seeker's in a way that made it play like hexdrinker-ish. One thing I thought was that they could give it an active that pops an anti-ad damage shield with a long-*** cooldown. Damage soaked and duration could be the same as Hexdrinker. I say an active because it'd then transition into zhonya's active.
The main issue here is how cost efficient hexdrinker is and that it's so much better than seekers in many aspects. It soaks a spell - which screws the apc's cooldowns - and gives good stats and magic damage mitigation. Seekers gives AD mitigation, but when a midlane assassin/ad champ all ins you the difference in damage that you're not taking from their ability all in you're receiving in the shape of AAs (theirs hurt more than yours) and Ignite

Hello and welcome to the MOBAFire Patch Summary - 6.7!
While the previous couple of patches have mainly had positive news in store, today's patch brings mainly the opposite, with many of the champion changes being focused on toning down some of the top-tier picks and ensuring every champion on the Rift has their strengths and weaknesses.
On top of that, another big talking point is part one of a global splash unification, which results in a high number of skins having received the Chinese version of the splash art across all regions.
In this post, we'll have a look at both of those things while also shortly highlighting some changes to items & masteries. Let's go!

With that said, if you happen to enjoy playing any of the other champions mentioned in the table above, now would be the time to look away.
Most notably, League's newest champion - Aurelion Sol - now has a lower stun duration on Breath of Light (max 1.5 seconds instead of 2) and his ultimate slows for less (
60/70/80%⇒ 40/50/60%) for a shorter duration (4 seconds⇒ 2 seconds), though it should be noted the slow now no longer decays. The other champ that has been significantly changed is Poppy. In trying to give her a more noticeable weakness, Riot have decided to reduce the range of her periodic Iron Ambassador attack and her Heroic Charge by 100, making it harder for her to disrupt / pin down the enemy backline in teamfights the way she did before. On top of that, the base damage of her Q ( Hammer Shock) has also been reduced by 5-35 (depending on rank).
Of course, that still leaves a bunch of other strong outliers who have received nerfs as well, including Jhin ( Dancing Grenade damage down & mana cost up), Rammus ( Soaring Slam cooldown up), Soraka ( Starcall and Astral Infusion mana cost increased), Udyr ( Wingborne Storm damage down) and Zed ( Living Shadow cooldown up and passive AD granted by the ability reduced). For the full details on these changes and other changes we didn't mention, refer to the table above.
Items & Masteries
Moving on from champion nerfs, Riot have also toned down one item and one mastery in the game as a result of them being a little too powerful.
50⇒ 40) and its Lifegrip passive no longer grants Attack Speed when triggered (was 25%).Splash Art Changes & Upcoming Skins
As part of an ongoing effort to unify assets across all regions, a grand total of 62 (!) skins have received a new splash art in this patch, including the base splash of Hecarim, Irelia and Karthus. Below is a full overview of the affected skins; note these will be updated on MOBAFire as soon as possible.
