I really like playing adc, but every time I do I end up having to front line, engage and shot call. Why do my tank supports stand BEHIND me all the time? Not talking about laning phase but rather late game team fights where we're contesting something and everyone is like two screens away from the thing, waiting for me to take their important spells and run in.
I guess the only conclusion we can arrive at is that I am simply always better than my lane partner, no matter what role I'm playing. The same goes for you. This holds for we have never shared a lane as far as I can recall.

Maybe we need less new mods and more interaction qq

Also, I've been in bed all day experiencing varying levels of pain and the new players in my Pathfinder game won't stop calling me "she" despite me being proactive and pinning a post on the discord chat stating that I use and want everyone else to use male pronouns in reference to me. It's really not what I needed right now and I feel like asserting myself might drive people off. I suppose if they're willing to leave over that, they're not worth playing with, but still.

I quess that's the adc role pretty much. If your supports don't want to do anything you just have to farm :/
