Hey great guide! really good indepth explanation and insight on what to build on Sion. You might want to updated the guide since he's in a really great spot this patch and u can literally gain free-lo with him. Still great guide nonetheless. Keep it up!

Hey,

Quoted:
+ When you get ganked, you can 2v3 or 2v4.

+ 4v5 games can be won
you wrote that as one the pros when playing with Sion but this is far from the truth. 4v5 games are won when the enemy team (5) is really really bad, incredibly bad. Sion is a tank that has really strong CC but in order to win 4vs5 teamfight you have to hit at least 3 enemies with ult then stun them with Q. But this can only happen if the enemy is gathered. When Sion uses ultimate the sound of the cast warns them and smart players will scatter. I really doubt that 4v5 teamfight can be won just by playing with Sion. This depends more on the unskillfulness of your enemies.

Competent people can still be beat in a 4v5. This is a team game and AD Sion is able to take a lot of people down. 4v5 have been won in platinum and diamond elo. I think it's mostly about your own team comp. There are team comps that make the 4v5 lot more manageable and AD Sion fits really well.

Anyway, the message is mostly that when you do have a 4v5, with Sion, your odds of winning can still be good, so don't give up.

Hey Apos,

Good guide for Sion. But I rhink Sion is better to play on top or jungle. And if you play Sion on bot (support cuz idk how you can play Sion adc xd) is better to get any tank items and any support items. I think this build can be good - Face of the Mountain Mercury's Treads Randuin's Omen Sunfire Aegis Black Cleaver and Maw of Malmortius. Try it.

Perhaps try to see if you can add a Zz'Rot Portal in there. It gives your team a lot of pushing power during a siege.

That's indeed a nice build, and it it fits your playstyle for Sion bot, go for it!

Thanks! I'm in the process of updating the guide for the next season, but it's a bit hard to get value from my games in the new Flex queue (I get matched with silver and gold people which lowers the quality of my games. Makes it hard to know if what I'm doing is really good or if it just works on low people.)

Why mortal reminder? Why not Lord Dominik's Regards? Cos you are half squishy, and unable to fight tank.

But good guide! I tried it, had fun!

I find that I still end up with more health than everyone else.

Anyway, with the new season, most of the items from last season will need to be revised. A lot has been changed.

As a Sion main, I find this guide a little ridiculous. You say that his passive is amazing when built AD, whereas tank Sion's passive can be ignored, but it's hard to ignore 10% max health damage on hit 1.75 times per second. You say that having a support is great to set up your Q, but a good Sion player can set up their Q with an E. You say that Sion is a lane bully, but he's a lane bully full tank as well. You say he's great bot because he can snowball harder bot, but it's also a lot easier to snowball when you're getting a Vayne or Tristana fed as support Sion, not getting yourself fed, as Sion simply doesn't have the AD ratios and AA damage that they do. Also, AD Sion only scales well on your Q. His Q has 168% AD ratio when fully charged, which realistically will never happen. His W is AP, his E is AP, and his ult only has a 40-80% AD ratio. That's not really high enough to not justify building tank, especially when his base damage is unbelievably high. You might have footage showing how good it is, but that footage is Gold 2 and you won lane because of Sion's base damage and CC, not because of his AD scalings. Overall, the build seems like it's pretty much garbage compared to tank Sion. On a side note, I checked your op.gg page and it seems you've only started losing because you're being placed with low plats and high golds rather than the low golds and even high bronzes you were previously placed with.

Sorry for late reply, didn't notice the comment.

I mostly only lose the games I play while drunk and tired after working for 13 hours during that day.

While tank Sion does really good, the fact that tank Sion does good doesn't take anything away from ADC Sion being good. It's a bit hard for me to understand the point you are trying to make as part of your point seems to be about how good he is early game even as an ADC. I'm not arguing against playing tank Sion, I made this guide for those that would rather play Sion as an ADC in the bottom lane. I play Sion in every role and in every lane. I know how good Sion support is. I also know how good he is tank or whatever the build. I've gotten to diamond playing Sion [mid / jungle / support / top]. This season I'm fooling around more and playing ADC instead (I actually played ADC Sion in diamond elo a long time ago, but had never dedicated an account for it. This season, I got inspired to do it more by http://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=thebausffs). I am new to the ADC role in general, and since I'm experimenting a lot of builds and strategies, I choose to climb a lot slower instead of just stomping every game I get in. I want to experience how to feels to be really far ahead as well as how it feels to be behind during the laning phase. I test short games and really long games.

If you check my op.gg, perhaps you'll like my new build more. I often end up with 4k health and 400+ AD late game. Duskblade of Draktharr Ionian Boots of Lucidity, Youmuu's Ghostblade, Titanic Hydra, Mortal Reminder, Frozen Mallet

Correction to your post: ADC Sion does more damage during the passive than tank Sion. That's a fact. Sure both have the 10% of the target's maximum health on hit, but without armor penetration, there is a distinct damage difference. Also, add to that the actual AD that you have built.

Sure a solo Sion can combo off of his own abilities, it's the same in the bottom lane, but in the bottom lane, you also have a support that works with you.

The actual AD scaling on Q is 195% of your total AD. That's without the base damage which is 300. Tank has the base damage too, but he doesn't have the armor penetration. Late game, a single Q can deal around 1.1k damage.

As tank Sion, the base damage is nice, but the spells themselves are mostly used for their utility. On ADC Sion, you use your spells specifically for the damage they provide. The functions both playstyle fill in a team are fundamentally different.

I understand you find the idea of playing Sion as an ADC a little ridiculous, but it's normal considering it isn't done in the current meta that much.
