You don't have as much pressure in the laning phase without Electrocute, but Predator and Ingenious Hunter makes your roaming and teamfighting better.
I've seen some people buy Luden's Tempest instead of Rod of Ages as a first item. When is that a good option?
Is Hextech Rocketbelt a viable item? Since TF doesn't have any mobility apart from Flash and Destiny I thought that this could be a good option.
When is buying Spellbinder a good option?
Thanks in advance :)
It sounds like people were just experimenting with Luden's Tempest because i have never seen it in any high elo game ever. It's early game focused and it makes tf super squishy as well so i would not recommend going for it.
Protobelt is a great early game item but that means you would have to delay 1 of his 3 core items, so it would not be optimal. Riot is thinking about buffing Ghost next patch, so if they do and remove the "build up" time, then it will be a really good secondary summoner on tf, and it would pretty much solve his mobility issues.
Spellbinder is good into really squishy teams since it's burst oriented.
I always loved roam champions, so i want to try maining Twisted Fate and I have some questions.
-Firsth one is about Minion Dematerializer: You sad to use 5 on ranged minions so we could kill them earlier with 1 q, but what do you think about using like 4-5 on malee ones because we can kill ranged with 1 q relativly early and than only malee ones stay alive, so would you consider that?
-I also wonder what do you think about about The Ultimate Hat?
- I Took Predator once by an accident, but it worked quite well; helped with geting in range for my ult in time, helped in chasing with my gold cards, added a bit more of burst, and helped me escape couple of times. So What do you think it? Would you consider it?
-If you are really ahed, would you ever take Mobility Boots,
-If you have time could you tell me how do you play against Fizz and LeBlanc?
-Where I currently am, there arent many good Yasuos, but what should I do when a good one comes?
Thank VERY MUSH for making this guide! -it helped quite a lot!
- I don't really recommend using that many on melee's because it will slow down your waveclear so much if the casters survive with 10 hp. When we get enough items we can just waveclear the entire wave with Pick A Card + Wild Cards so it won't make much of a difference when used on melee minions. I often use the last one on the cannon minions to get rid of them ASAP.
- The Ultimate Hat is really good, but since i only have 2 slots open from a secondary tree, i opt for Celerity and Gathering Storm. I used to always take movement speed quints before the runes rework because of how immobile TF is. You could swap out Gathering Storm for lower ultimate cd if you want, but you will lose a lot of damage. If i had Arcane Comet i would take The Ultimate Hat most of the time since we have more slots open and don't have to give up Celerity and Gathering Storm.
- Predator can be good in certain situations, but the problem is we have to give up stats from Sorcery or Inspiration, since this one is in the Domination tree. You can still use it though, but then you probably have to give up on Inspiration and lose the waveclear from Minion Dematerializer.
- I never buy Mobility Boots on TF because they are really bad in teamfights and skirmishes. The moment you take damage you will lose the bonus MS and get caught.
Fizz: Take Perfect Timing instead of Magical Footwear. Don't attack him level 1. Let him push the wave and try freeze it outside of turret range. When the wave is frozen, you can harass him as much as you want since he can't do anything to you. He will also be exposed to ganks since he constantly has to overextend for every single CS. After level 6 you need to be careful and stay far back, farming with Wild Cards. Rush Zhonya's Hourglass to counter his Chum the Waters. Buy it right after Rod of Ages.
Yasuo: Same thing here. Freeze outside your tower so he can't attack you. Yasuo can always beat Twisted Fate in a 1v1, so you need to keep your distance and wait for jungle ganks. After level 6 you should just focus on getting the other lanes ahead by pushing fast and roaming, because we don't want to lane against a Yasuo.
LeBlanc: Super hard matchup.. So the reverted LeBlanc maxes W now. It's basically her waveclear AND damage spell. Her biggest weakness is getting shoved in because her waveclear is really bad, and she will be forced to use her W on the wave. You should get boots very early so you can dodge her chains. After level 6 you can splitpush in a sidelane against her, because you can shove and roam MUCH FASTER.
The important thing is to not give kills to assassins because they snowball from any lead they get. It's alright losing CS early on, just make sure you stay within EXP range.
I have another question :):
In 8.11 there will be new runes, one of them, as I understood, gives you a burst of movement speed after you cast your ult and it will be a normal Precision rune.
-So I would love to know what do you think about that on Twisted Fate
