I've been testing a lot of mythic for Ornn but I can't seem to be finding a good fit. Am I playing wrong? Am I not used to Ornn? Am I simply built different?
What is the best mythic for, like, 100% games?
You can view it from several perspectives, but remember that I may be wrong. How many players, so many opinions:
- if there are many ranged characters, select Iceborn Gauntlet; if not, choose Sunfire Aegis because you will deal a lot of damage.
- if they are fast choose Iceborn Gauntlet; if not, choose Sunfire Aegis.
- if you are backwards, choose Iceborn Gauntlet because of the low price; if not, you can afford Sunfire Aegis.
In general, Sunfire Aegis is more likely to be chosen at low level because you are doing a lot of damage and your opponents are not playing very well. However, at a higher level, you will almost always choose Iceborn Gauntlet because you want to help your team as much as possible in the fight as a tank.
Ofcourse being Mains gotta be unique.
I used to try Stridebreaker and in early it was nice to play. Unfortunately, the late-game was poor. I explain why: your task is to play teamfight well and absorb as much damage as possible. Also on the sideline for split push, your job is to survive and use your Teleport for team fights. Unfortunately, this item mainly provides AD damage and speed attack instead of armor and magic resist. In ranked games, it is better to build basic items.
Im asking because I jg Ornn and usually go Hextech Hexperiment, some sort of boots, thornmail, abyssal mask, gargoyle stoneplate, and Anathema's Chains.
I also have a question for you., what do you think about Force of Nature or Spirit Visage right now?
As Ornn player, Spirit Visage is not recommended, and having low MR is really not a good-to-go item anymore, compared to last season. Champions like Sion and Dr. Mundo are better fit for these items. I think you can build Spirit when your team has utility support champions, like Ivern, Lulu, Nami and Soraka.
Force of Nature doesn't seem to be very good on Ornn, because I think he needs stats boost, and not movement speed. Compared to Abyssal Mask, it does not provide any damage amp, and it doesn't make him extra tankier either, unless enemy team is full AP. If enemy team comp is full AP, I would build both Mikael's Blessing and Abyssal Mask as this choice is more economical. FoN is probably better for champions like Malphite, Gnar, Sett, Garen and Darius since they have movement speed increase in their skills. This reasoning also applies on why I don't build Dead Man's Plate on Ornn.
I've thought that FoN was a good replacement of Adaptive Helm, but I don't think it is at the moment.
