Sorry that some of the builds aren't totally updated, been on a slight break from league. When it comes to when im gonna update this build, I should have something done within the next week or two.

Are there any situations where the other ADC mythics would work better than Shieldbow? Say, would there be any specific scenarios where you'd use his ability to proc Kraken faster to your advantage, for example?

Id say if youre going against a tankier team and youre confident that you don't need the extra survivability id say you could definitely run Kraken Slayer. It has great damage and the attack speed stacking isn't as bad as we first thought so its definitely viable if you dont need extra survivability. On the other hand I think galeforce is one of the worst AD mythics to run on him because you can get everything from better mythics like shieldbow or kraken, and get more value out of their passives. As well as the fact that galeforce dash really isnt all that great with Akshan E as it doesnt transition smoothly. So kraken is an option against teams that arent going to blow you up immediately. Otherwise, I prefer Shieldbow.

And if you're looking for matchups where kraken would work better I'd say matchups against opponents like Orianna or Swain. People who have little to no mobility and arent going to destroy you if you try to go aggressive on trades. Shieldbow is meant for games where the enemy is going to beat you in trades, be a menace and try to kill you at all times. Like Qiyana, Talon, Viego matchups. Hope this answered your question!

Essence reaver over muramana because essence does essentially the same thing but is a crit item. And a sheen item which akshan can abuse

The reason I prefer Manamune is because having the permanent mana translates to late game and I can use the mana gain from it in more situations than with essence reaver which will only use the mana gain in fights. As well as the fact that My kit is AD and my Ultimate scales well with Manamune's AD gain. If I were going Kraken or IE then I would be fine with Essence Reaver, but that's not the case so Manamune is a more fitting item with this build
