I agree and I'd love every idea you suggested, but don't forget, money comes into play. I'd love to get ip or rp for scoring a pentakill or something, but by giving extra rp or ip, they'd lose out on money. Also, believe it or not, the riot staff isn't very large, and they try their best to please their community while
still learning how to thrive as a company. When it comes to the maps, mayby they don't have as much people on the team that they would like, but it all falls back to money, money, money.

Why do you need more maps if the one there is is great. you want 1v1, go play custom... this is a team game and i am amazed that this 3v3 **** they released is still viable and ppl accualy play it.
IT IS NOT ABOUT THE MAP. It is about PvP. DotA is more PvE where every creep is very valuable either lh or deny.
Also 5v5 is perfect balance between crowd and boredom. Any spinoffs would be either already too crowded and boring as hell.
You want arenas? than Bloodline champions is a game for you.
The lvling is quite fun. It keeps you on the flow of playing. You always have a goal to achieve, at start it is to reach lvl 30, than to have more rune pages than all champions.
Also they are gonna implement achievements soonish (s2?)

Economics: Champions > Maps
You're looking at this like a player/gamer. Who only sees 1/100 of the story.
Champions are individually balanced. They make more money via RP.
A new map requires more balancing. Seriously, they barely keep champions balanced for TT.
Mundo and Mordekaisers just plain faceroll on TT while having questionable viability on SR.
If they produce a new map with high differentiation from the others, it would lead to re-balancing of ALL champions.
Individual groups work on individual products/aspects of the game.
Those people making Champions have NOTHING to do with the people making maps.
Lastly. Dueling would be messed up.
Certain champions are made to duel, meaning such a map would be unfair to a vast majority of players who enjoy assassins, squishies, and support like Shaco, Heimerdinger, TF, Karma, Soraka, etc.. While only catering to tanky dps like Xin Zhao, Olaf, Tryndamere, etc..
TL;DR?
Riot specializes.
Different groups work on different things.
People making champions =/= people making maps.
Champions make more money.
Making a map requires balance, they can't add w/e they want.
Duels only cater only to tanky dps fans. Unfair to nukes, assassins, support, etc..

I don't really agree with adding in a bunch of different modes of 1v1, 2v2, etc because as DEWO said 5v5 is a good balance. Also, more modes to choose from leads to more splitting of the player base, by that I mean longer queue times.
I would really like to see more than one 5v5 map though, keep it one 5v5 mode but randomly select from a handful of maps.

I just dont understand how you guys are so short sighted. No offense seriously. You guys know a **** ton more than me. I recognize that. I also realize that Riot has to make money and there are certain Cost benefit ratios at play.
However, the answer riot should give is never go play XYZ game. I gave good ideas that would be fun. I know certain champs arent viable....make them viable. I am an avid supporter of buffing support. I want epic 5 minute fights. I hate being fully built and one person being out of place for one second ends the game. Its too volatile IMO.
I would also agree that its about PVP. In that case you should love the arena idea. It all PVP and no farm. ^_^
I really liked your commentary Junsupport. I know balancing is and always has been an issue. But I counter that with yes and it always will be. We cannot let fear of failure restrain us from progess.
I also disagree about the arena. While obviously you cant play with too much squishy (the exact same as the current meta game), you can have value in nukes and support (being buffed of course). The ability to focus people down becomes much more important when you have 1 life.. let say 5 tanky dps go up against a balanced team.
5DPS rush in trying to focus XYZ champ. Amumu jumps in stuns. Veigar traps blows one away nunu ults janna blows them back BC silences. There are so many ways that straight Tanky DPS could and would be countered. A fully built veigar burst like a mother.
Its also not like they are fighting in a 5 by 5 box. There would still be bushes and towers scattered around. It would obviously be smaller than a normal map though.
For instance, I would love to see map where there is more jungle and less lane. For instance. Jungle is in the middle and there are a top and bottom lane. Similar to TT but for 4v4 and there is no jungle above top lane or below bot. that way junglers are in constant danger but there is infinitely more opportunity to gank and counter gank.
In closing, Just because you are happy in 5s doesnt mean they shouldnt innovate. The whole reason we play LoL is because its different that Dota and Hon. Why not make a completely inclusive MOBA that will suit any and everyones tastes while still differentiating.
PS No disrepect but i agree to disagree o_O

They're making Magma Chamber, a 5v5 map. The reason that they really will have a difficult time making any map other than 5v5 is because champions are built to work on a mod of the classic DotA map, which is 5v5. Consider that in 3v3, Tryndamere and Mundo are completely unbalanced because the enemy team just doesn't have enough CC or enough damage to kill them. A 1v1 map would be totally unbalanced unless you were forced to choose the same champ - but let's face it, there are custom games for that. 4v4 MIGHT be viable but would again face the same problems as 3v3. The lack of a fourth player makes champions who are powerful in scrimmages very strong, such as Mordekaiser or the aforementioned Trynd/Mundo.
On the other hand, larger maps like a 6v6 or a 7v7 would not only be very difficult to create and design but would also make certain champions incredibly overpowered. 7 champions can focus down anyone incredibly quickly, regardless of who they are, so nukers would be very strong, to name one class.
The point is, League creates and patches champions to fit their effectiveness on a 5v5 map, which is why other types of maps just aren't that feasible.

I have to agree with this its bad enough when 4 can take out 1 but imagine 6 taking out 2 in a manner of seconds.

So why the flipping heck do i have 2 maps. I mean what the flipping $#!*&*^@#&^&*$^&*^@&*^&*@#^&*$^&*%^&*@. I want a 1v1 map. I want a 2v2 map. I want a 4v4 map. It shouldnt be this hard. 1v1 and 2v2 are mad fun but i hate having to travel across SR in a 1v1. TT is kinda boring without a full team as well. Baron is fun trying solo. Why is there only 2 maps this late in LOLs career.
Also, they should have a duel/Arena mode. You start off level 18 with 15K gold. teams can range from 1v1 to 5v1 and their is just a circle arena of last man standing. Their could be like best of 3 rounds or something. You can temporarily activate towers or traps to help you.
Differentiation between high and low leves. Yes, you get masteries and runes and ****. You should earn new icons or titles or something. Achievements that award XYZ RP or IP. Pentakill XYZ double kills, etc. Special runes become available with achievements or titles.
Dont get me wrong. I think Riot is awesome and I love the game. I think that they are missing the mark on some things though. Just some thoughts. Different team sizes completely changes the game. Suddenly people have specializations and setups. This is my dueling spec. This is my 2v2 team, etc.
