I promise you, I could take almost any of the champions I play and still do just as good no matter what summoner spells I have. They really, really shouldn't put you at that much of a disadvantage. I say, as long as you know what the enemies have, you should do just fine...unless you don't pay attention.

Well, let's do a little conceptual formula.
2 CV = No Fog of War for the enemy to hide.
-Literally, you have no idea how difficult Junglers have it when the Big-Brother-Cam is on them for the first 5 minutes of the game-
No FoW = Easy enemies to gank.
No FoW = No ganks for enemies.
Easy ganks + No getting ganked = Easy feed, easy pushes, easy win. -Awww Yeaaaah- :D

Because you do so well and die so rarely, the only spells you need are for ressurecting and teleporting right back into lane to tower dive on low people who used everything to kill you. :P
I played against an Urgot like that once. It wasn't pretty...

In any case, Ignore the Tele+Clair, point is 2 CVs. >w>

Well when I play AP TF I use Clair and tele :D! Its just that... its kinda overkill dont u think :P? 2 CVs.... Tf ulti... sure no fog of war.. but then you lack real mobility with ghost and flash.. or exhaust and slow....

I think its really situational if the enemy has a powerful jungler... in cases where there is no jungler, its pretty meh =/

@Searz if the enemy team does not have clair and wards against this team, they will be at an extreme disadvantage since they immediately have less map awareness.

Map Awareness wins games, but I think this just might take this to the extreme. Yes, it is nice to know where everything is. BUT, if you start to depend on it, you will become ill-prepared for an event when FoW is still there. Then, it can start to spiral down from there. Maybe there are some teams that this is good against, but this shouldn't be for every game.

If the enemy doesn't have a jungler, that is already a huge amount of good news for your jungler.
Clairvoyance can also be used to check behind turrets to see if an enemy is Recalling; good for aiming skill shots.
It can also be used to check bushes, and we all know how much trouble it is when there's a Wild Garen waiting in the bush. D:
Example: Was laning against a Garen. Lock Gold Card, CV Bush, stun, Q, ally renekton goes crocodile on his ***, Wild Garen has been slain :D
Enemy Janna is all "I leave him for 10 seconds to gank mid (failed gank), and this is what happens?!"
As for combat, it's AMAZING for chasers.
You know how sometimes an enemy gets away because they slip into the FoW before your last-hit can kill them? or before your stun could be casted?
Clairvoyance can be used to prevent this as well, CV negates juking. ;D

With TF, you also get a standard update of enemy locations every 80~50 seconds.
If executed properly with a mere 2 wards for Dragon and Baron, it is nay possible to lose track of the enemy.
Also, just as a hint: The second CV always gives more information then the first. :D
By process of elimination, 2 CVs + standard wards are enough to KNOW exactly what region the enemy is lurking.

I played Renekton with a rally+revive, trolled for the beginning of the game, then got a 2v4 Quadrakill ;(
I don't think summoners are that important now.
I onyl use Flash+Ghost normally, makes me not rely on anything apart from escaping or chasing
