I'd rather they do something innovative instead of making a direct nerf.

Like making Transfusion add Tides of Blood stacks.
Causing it to have a cost, but also increasing the healing if he spams it. So that if he's fighting and taking damage, it'll even out because of the rising health-returns on top of costs.
But if he's just spamming it, it won't be as effective because of the rising costs.

But why?

The thing is not to be innovative. The thing is to finetune things. At least this is my way of balancing things. Why do a champion overhaul if 1 change makes it perfect?
Well caucheka, the problem is that this is way OP, and if it is a way OP than it needs something more than a slight nerf. Remember that you still have ALOT of sruvivability due to MAAAAAA***IVE Hp pool for a caster... it is realy hard to kill you even if you dont pool. You are constantly healing yourself, damaging enemy (and slowing since his core is still Rylai) You might say that he has big health costs... well this gets away as fast as you get the WotA (and you will be lvl 9 untill than) so those costs doesnt mean anything. Giving him that much AAAAAND this get out of anything free card...
Removing the pool mechanic would be a huge nerf. Making it static is a medium nerf that will get the job done pretty efficiently imho.

I've never really looked at his base HP growth. But if you say that his problem is being too tanky... why not nerf his base HP growth?
36. Just because you're losing doesn't mean you are the best on your team, it means you are losing, too.

Becouse it is not the deal. (it got nerfed once already didnt do much) also his HP pool is for casting spells nevertheless.

The thing that annoys ppl the most and make him so OP is Pool.

I think Riot should Nerf his pool duration but then they'd have to buff something else or else h'd be worthless.

@DEWO:

The thing that annoys me most is his Q. Its his lane sustaining that people are bothered by.
In mid-game team fights, it's not quite as horrible.

Pool isn't a big deal if you stun at the right times. :]

Been playing Blitzcank a lot, and on my 4-man normal queue, I always save my Ult for Vlad so we can focus him down fast.
Pull, Stun, Silence, /all-chat "No Pool?" - Trollololol.

But while in lane with a good Vlad, we have to tolerate hell.

Vlad is a problem in the lane and in the lane ONLY. Fix that and he'll be more balanced.

I dunno. In the lane I have never really had a problem fighting Vlad. But I played him for so long that it may give me an advantage because I know his weaknesses well.

I say rotate his W and R, Make SP on a longer timer (like hemo is now), increase its damage output some (to an ultimate level - its not a true invulnerability after all), and it increases damage done to all those hit by it by 15% for 5 seconds.

Change Hemoplague to a ~20 sec castable AoE slow that does a small burst damage after 5 seconds.

My opinion. But I suspect their version of "still good" will kill him completely. But I hope it won't.

All guides have been archived due to my not being able to play LoL currently. The information is still there and is good but until I return they will be archived. I am able to keep them updated and current though.

Q? eee.... it is like annie Q or Veigar Q... (again i am comparing those).
Veigars one gives AP, Annie one is refundable on creeps and later the mana cost is laughable, can stun easily. They have better AP ratios too.

Now, there are way better lane stayers out there (Soraka, Maokai and so on) Due to his pool, he is ungankable on his lane. Since most of those sustainable champions can get ganked by jungler and so on vlad still has the pool that screws up... noone wants to gank him since it is a waste of time "he will pool out to safety anyway" and so on.

Q isnt an issue here tbh...
