The build does work, if you give it a try i'm pretty certain you will agree. There are valid reasons why AD Brand works, for a start his base a/p ratio without any AP items is actually very good so when you are L18 and late game, your spells do a huge chunk of damage, ON TOP of your insane dps capacity. Brand has a very high scaling base AD also and the main component here is that his range is extroadinarily high - better than annie, almost comparable to Caitlyn. AD Brand is a better caitlyn, simple as that.
So for you to go into a thread and publically announce my guide doesn't work and isn't good is obviously going to be a problem when you haven't tried or seen something how can you just "know" it won't work? The point is, it does work.
First off, I'd like to point out that "ignorantly downvoting a build without trying it" is not only commonplace around this site, it is not punishable and is quite often attributed to "trolls". Does that make it okay to do? Not really.
But the second point is that there is no history, no solid evidence behind AD Brand being a competitively viable build. Nobody in high ELO plays AD Brand seriously, not here, not in EU. Xan Vech's performance in Dreamhack was with Brand, and he built AP. so point number one: Top-tier players consistently build Brand AP instead of AD, and for a good reason.
Point number two: There is nothing about Brand that is conducive to him being an AD carry. His abilities hit for magic damage that scales off of ability power. If you argue that the harass in lane lets you farm more, you could have the exact same argument for AP and hit them for more damage. The only near-viable argument for AD Brand being anywhere near viable is his 2 second stun on his Sear, but for that to occur, you need to have hit them for at least two spells first and odds are you'll be casting more spells after you stunned them, leading AP to deal more damage than AD to begin with.
Point number three: Your points are completely wrong and based on fallacy. Brand has 550 attack range. That's significantly less than Annie's 625 and Caitlyn's 650. Secondly, you mention Brand's huge spell damage late-game being a contributing factor to building him AD to give him insane DPS capacity on top of that burst - but if you're not building any AP, your spells will be negligible, at best. Finally, Brand's high base attack damage provides NO GROUNDS WHATSOEVER to building him attack damage. At best you have a 5 damage edge on other champions late-game, at level 18. When you consider that you could out-damage that for 210 gold, it's not exactly an important stat. Kayle has one of the highest base HPs in the game. Does that make her a good tank? Rammus's HP is one of the lower base health stats in the game, but does that make him a bad tank?

Experience. Not necessarily experience playing the game, but experience watching the professionals play, because they know what's good and what's not better than any of us ever will. At a certain point you can just look at a guide and say, "This is bad." Or look at a champion and say, "This item build is good on him/her."

Mobafire just needs a way of deleting guides that are not good. I mean, give the mods and vets the ability to control all the terrible guides out there.
Also, this whole topic is stupid. The OP had asked people's opinions on the guide, and like everyone else Jebus agreed that it sucked. If you read the comments you'll see people bashing mobafire for it's awful awful guides (like the brand guide), and acknowledging the fact that some guides are terrible was the right thing to do.

And this guys is when I start complaining about elo.
I can get to 800 elo, play AD brand and say that my build utterly rapes and destroys kids. Hell, I even got a pentakill and a screenshot to prove it.
AD Brand is 'viable'. When compared to AP Brand, it does not do as well. When you play AD Brand, it is outshined by many better AD characters like Corki and Ashe.
Go on :)

So? A terrible movie advertised wonderfully doesn't make the movie any less terrible.
Opposite way around.
The movie advertisement was ****, but the movie itself was awesome.
Earlier in the thread I stated the following:
....
Unconventional Guides/Builds
Just because they are unconventional, doesn't mean that they don't work, they may not be viable in ranked per se, but in normals they are ok, fine, or even amazing, and on top of that, FUN.
@Nevzat666: In the meantime, it might help a bit in terms of the negative votes if you move it to the "Humor" section since the build is unconventional.
The definition of unconventional: Not based on or conforming to what is generally done or believed.
The following is directed at the OP, this in no way assumes to stand for others opinions, but my own. I am sure that others do feel this way though.
I'd like to make it clear that an Unconventional build is by no means actually viable in serious play (Mid ELO+). Yes, you can play an unconventional build seriously, and yes you CAN do well, but that doesn't mean that it is a good build, you may just be a good player, or your opponents absolutely terrible.
I'll make it clear that to the serious community (in my opinion), would consider this a joke or troll build. Just because you play a joke or troll build does not mean you are trolling. If you can play one of these and still own face, props to you. In serious play, and I mean try harding, especially in ranked, you need builds that actually synchronize with preferably all aspects of the champion, instead of just a select few.
You take your build way too seriously and need to realize what it is: an unconventional build.
I've got to say it, but there is no proof that this is in any way "viable" for anything other than low ELO. I've actually tried a build like this before, yes it does "work" but in no way is it fluid. You can't burst down a champion the way AP Brand can, which is what he was built and made to do.
Certain champions CAN be built multiple ways, it is because their spell kit allows for it. Brand is not one of these champions.

I think high elo players would argue against the whole "you can't know that it doesn't work if you don't try it". They can look at a champion and say, "this item would be great on him". in the same way, Jebus can look at a build and say "that works", or "that doesn't work". Play enough games and you'll get the feel for it.
