With the recent patch you shouldn't see that anymore since wards do not interact with spells anymore, and after the hotfix/patch for Jax/Kat/Lee Sin ward jumping, they will be pretty much the only ones able to target wards with a spell and have an effect (dashing, leaping, or shunpo to them).
