Alright, I have never used smartcast so I have some dumb question(s). First, do you have to go into the key bindings menu each game if you are playing a different champ and want to have different abilities set to smartcast or will it save?

Alright thanks. And second, I went in and changed each of the smartcast key bindings to qwer instead of shift qwer. What then do you set the simple spell select to so that if you need to line it up more you can? IDK if this makes sense or not.

what are you taking about simple spell select and line up more
if you are asking what the keybind would be for the normal spellcasting, then it would be with shift (since smartcast was on shift before you moved it).
As for saving, it ofc saves your keybinds from how they were the previous game...
if you only want like Q and E smartcast for one champ, then next game you want W and R, you would have to change it though...it isn't going to save the keybind for each champ...common sense lol, since it is in the OPTIONS menu T_T

Ok the last section of your response wrath is what I was asking. I was pretty sure that's how it would work, but I just wanted to make sure. And that's what I thought it would be, but shift+qwer doesn't do anything for me now.
Well then look at the keybinding list, and see what is says for normal casting...
if nothing, bind shift + qwer to it.
if nothing, bind shift + qwer to it.

Its up to you whether you need it or not. Depending on you who play, for instance I play Orianna and have smart cast for everything except her q. This is because I need positioning on the ball. Overall, its a preference and you should use it to get your spells off faster.
