Team fights it's a massacre..
OT: I like them both.

While Xin's abilities deal higher overall damage, Wu Kong seems much more durable trading lifesteal for increased defense and it's possible that being able to last that much longer might actually mean he provides more utility to a team. But ya, Wukong's W doesn't provide really any utility to a fight, it seems like it's purely an escape mechanism.
I built Atmog's, and then grabbed a negatron cloak and built AD and a bit of MR.
My build was, Boots+3hp start, build Warmog's starting with regrowth, into Atma's.
Then when i have Atmog's, i grab a negatron cloak, build IE or BT (BT if i'm behind but aren't dying, IE if i'm ahead, or i'm dying a lot), and then grab LW.
Finally, i finish my negatron cloak into FoN.
A very team fight based build, but i thought it was pretty good.
If i'm against a AD champ top, i of course start cloth armor+5hp, and then build that into wriggles.
He's a super fun champ imo tho :p.

Tri lane for life.
It's all a matter of versatility and utility (wukong) vs. Dependability and consistency ( zhao) in regards to playing... Whatever suits your mood then go pick tha champ that highlights the above traits that you feel like playing as at the moment... But IMHO, wukong would fare better in teamfights...

Mugen:Geez, doing it with a squid.
Wukon is better IMO.
Xin, besides his speed, has no escape ability, unless you find a lucky enemy's minion.
Therefore, the probability of wrecking someone 1on1 and running from the jungler goes to Wukong.
Xin on the other hand can deal way more DPS, but let's face it, Wukon is more TANKY DPS than Xin, cause the chinese one is just tanky DPS.
IMO, Wukong > Xin in Teamfights, but Xin > Wukong in 1on1.

I wouldn't compare the 2. Xin is a carry while Wukong is a tanky DPS disruptor (I think he's tanky dps anyways). They have 2 completely different roles.

Xin Zhao is an assassin, not a carry. Big difference.
WuKong is just a fighter. Someone who can fight constantly, with many tools to help him win.

Wu Kong's concept IMO is an off tanky Assassin. I chose to build him pure OT Trinity and Atmogs. I was durable but I could feel a lack in DPS. Q is super strong though. Melts towers and champs. Great ability. Decoy is alright but it needs a move speed buff for when he uses it. As well you drop stealth when AoEd...No fun. His ult's range does not seem to measure up to the graphic. He's strong but not OP, rather balanced r slightly UP imo. He's a lot of fun though :D.
I too went trinity then atmogs. I agree with about everything you said. I dunno if a move speed boost is necessary, would be nice, I suppose but not that big a deal
I basically think of Wukong as Nasus and Akali having a baby, but uncle Garen taught him how to spin. I mean his Q is like a siphoning strike that you can't farm up and he's tankier like Nasus, but He can jump around and disappear like akali.
As for his w, it also works as a great farming tool and is rather interesting in the jungle. I feel like minions should also attack the clone, but instead if you use decoy, the minions just ignore and regenerate health until you or the decoy hit them again.
