Hello All.

I just got lvl12 summoner last night. My first char was Annie, played a bit learned some mechanics but meh, I dunno didnt like her playstyle at all. Bought Trynde and usually started roaming/ganking/jungling at lvl 7 or so which was great fun. So I was looking to do that from level 1. So I read the Jungling guides, both 101, and 202. Got the impression Nunu/warwick is so easemode jungle you cant fail so I bought Nunu (cheap, hehe).

Okay I enter game, buy boots + hp pot + ward. Start heading to wolves. Now usually people start in chat "OMG what a ****** nunu", "WTF Nunu go bot", "Report Nunu" and "Stupid Nunu noob, GTFO". While I try not to heed those it kinda gets you in a... less good mood.
So i start up with Smite on biggie wolf, kill him off. Auto-attack a small one then consume the last one. Kinda at 70% HP now, grab a pot and run to Wraiths, Consume the big one, skill up in Blood Boil and use it, kill the others. Now I'm at 20% HP and people in chat are getting alot of insults running. I run down to double golems, smite one and auto-attack it down then just when consume is about to go up the other golem kills me.

Someone please help me, what am I doing wrong? I use now Smite/Flash and runes are T1 but otherwise same as suggested for Nunu at Jungling guide: http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/jungling-101-what-you-need-to-know-77704

Anyone please help?

1. jungling is very rune and mastery dependant, and you can't get good runes until level 20, so I wouldn't recommend jungling at this level. Wait until AT LEAST 20-25 when you get some runes and almost full masteries.

2. Those people are noobs, they probably don't know what jungling is, ignore them (can be expected at your level).

3. Don't smite the big wolf. Consume big wolf, kill others, smite blue wraith, do stuff, and you should be good at doubles.

and make sure you are doing cloth armor 5 pots.

Thanks to TRUeLM, Plastictree, Scrax, Xiaowiriamu, foggy12, JahGFX, jhoijhoi, msrobinson, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, MissMaw, and me :) for the sigs!

Oh okay,

thanks alot. this might be a silly question but... cloth armor usually leads up to Wriggles/Mandreds right? Aren't those kind of... bad on a Nunu? I am new so dont fully grasp all mechanics yet but I got the impression Nunu was focusing on Ability Power?

Anyways, is there any champion you could recommend to try jungling with before lvl20 summoner? I have following champions:
- Annie
- Nunu
- Ashe
- Shaco
- Tryndamer
- Tristana

and thanks again for the response :)

Shaco is probably one of the hardest junglers in my opinion..

And yea, Jungling is very reliant on Runes/Masteries because your early game is so crucial. I read a guide once for Warwick where the writer ran his jungle route and build with Tier 1 runes and very few mastery points, or maybe it was no runes at all I can't remember. I believe Warwick is one of the more sustainable junglers, but I've never ran it with him and honestly I fail at jungling because I refuse to buy all my Tier 3 runes and buy champions instead.. lol

But ignore people when they try to insult you for jungling, because when you get in most high level games there will be a jungler and people understand it's an important part of the game.

Good luck.

And yes, your mother loves me.

+rep me because I am awesome.

Pretty sure it's because you don't have the runes and masteries.

Warwick is probably the only champ you could jungle with no runes and limited masteries, and even then it might be slow/difficult.

I've only very recently begun to jungle myself, so maybe you should just wait a while. In my experience if you have a jungler at that level your top lane will be completely destroyed 2v1 and feed all game anyway, which kind of defeats the main purpose of a jungler.

Nunu - ****ing amazing in jungle, might need runes though, I'm actually not too sure. I think you can forgo runes if you get a good leash. If you manage to play him well in jungle you'll be winning a LOT more games. Also look up some Nunu builds. While he does scale with AP, it's not always best to build him that way. IF YOU PLAY NUNU ONLY JUNGLE WITH HIM.

Shaco - ONLY JUNGLE WITH HIM CAUSE OTHERWISE HE'S A **** CHARACTER. HIS JUNGLING AND JUNGLE MECHANICS ARE INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND. ALSO **** YOU WRATH IF YOU READ THIS, I GOT THOSE GANKS OFF CLEAN WHILE YOU WERE PLAYING LIKE **** DIEING TO THAT LANE WHEN I GANKED. WHEN YOU'RE 2 HP BARS LOW YOU PROBABLY SHOULDN'T ASSIST IN A GANK. I KNOW I CAN GET AWAY WITH LIVING DURING THOSE GANKS, STOP CALLING ME BAD >:(

Trynd - Not too sure about him because I haven't played against a good one. I also don't have much experience with Trynd even after his remake.

Get warwick, I started jungling with him at level 10 and had good success. I started with twin golems (make sure you have at least 2 points in the experience mastery) and got level 2 after that camp. I proceeded to wraiths or wolves and then depending on my health would get blue or b. Generally level 3 before first b, jungling gets easier as you level, but at that point getting to level 3 before first recall was good enough.
Start with cloth + 5 pots, pop first pot the moment you start taking damage.
Skill order: w>q>q>e>q>r

As for the noobs, just tell them you're jungling, if they don't know what that is then they truly are a noob and you can troll them for the rest of the game about it.

Nunu is a great jungler to start off with. He has a lot of sustainability and is quite safe when it comes to counter-jungling. Look up TheOddOne's jungle nunu guide on YouTube (he's the jungler for Team Solo Mid), it will help you a lot. Also check out Stonewall008 for some great jungle tips and routes for most champions. Also, get Greater Seal of Armor when you hit level 20, it'll help your jungling a lot.

Junglers that aren't rune dependent: Udyr/Warwick/Nunu
If you jungle these without optimal runes at your level, you will die. Especially in solo queue. If you try a "full" route (Blue/wolves/wraiths/red/golems) you will die.
IMO, jungling should be held off on until level 20 or so when you can get "good" runes that really improve your jungle. Also, when you get to the crucial point, you have to know when to gank. This isn't something that can be easily taught. Warding is also crucial.

Thank you to jhoijhoi for the sig, and all the dividers in the guide.

Nunu, Shaco and tryndamere probably have some of the strongest jungle capabilities in the game, so stick with them if you are under lvl 20. Once you are about lvl 21-30 (and have good enough runes) try other champions out. THE STRONGEST AND EASIEST JUNGLER in the game is Warwick. You can pretty much jungle with him at level 1. So if you are really Jungle hungry like I am in every game. Try him out because he has a strong jungle and can counter jungle amazingly well. I personally don't use him because I think he is kinda easy to use and is often overused. But that is beside the point.
