Trinity force on Olaf? isn't Frozen Mallet better? I usually find HP Stacking Olaf's very scary.

Why triforce > FM on olaf? DISCUSS!!!
I've never actually tried Triforce on Olaf yet,
but:
1) it gives movespeed, which is key for olaf
2) still has a pretty good slow
3) still does give a fair amount of health
4) increases his damage output tons in midgame
And hp stacking olafs are very scary, which is why you go something like:
mtreads, wriggles, sheen, triforce, randy's, bv, atma's etc
bv + randy's is more hp then fatma's anyways, heck, bv + triforce/randy's + triforce is more hp then fm.
but:

It does have synergy with his over all kit.
It adds to his burst- Olaf is useful because he can burst down squishies and -literally- nobody can stop him with his ult on.
It makes him run faster.

You get your HP via Warmogg's and an atma's, run a standard Metagolems build, an it's a wrap. Olaf is a beast. Pick up a green pot and with your passive you'll never need more attack speed, your damage will be really high, and you'll be a borderline tank. You'll still have another item spot as well, which I generally fill with a tank item geared against their biggest threat to me (Randuin's most games, a second Force of Nature in a lot of games, GA in a lot of games, I've even finished with Infinity Edge.)

@Duff I know you're a huge fan of olaf, but olaf has a pretty dangerous jungle, and he needs to get low to get fast. He has no real hard CC like udyr, and I think Udyr's ganks are just a bit better. Udyr jungles just as fast, but way safer. Also, Udyr has better solo top capability.

Ranged Slow vs Melee Stun imo is pretty dammn close in usefulness, and there's no doubt in my mind Olaf does tons more damage, and yet is probably just as tanky, if not tankier then Udyr.

Udyr is the slightly better jungler in terms of speed and much better in terms of safety, but that's not what determines the value of a champion.
I love Olaf. He has a higher skill cap than Udyr for one thing, so a lot of bad players will automatically say Udyr is better because they can't play Olaf well.
Olaf is only strong at two points in the game. Early and super deep late when he's got all of his items.
In that sense, he's weak as a champion. Often times games dont last 50 minutes long for you to get your gear.
Olaf doesn't have to get THAT low to clear his jungle. If you're good at axe you'll never drop below 20-30% if you get a good leash, although you will potentially drop to 20% or even lower if you don't get a good leash.
That's only on the first clear however.
Advantages Olaf has;
Easily solo's dragon at any level with wriggle's, even level 5. Haven't tried lvl 4, I would bet he can if you get wriggles though. (He can't without wriggles)
I generally get 2-3 dragons per game with Olaf, because I get them early and keep getting them. I clear wards at dragon 30 seconds prior to attempting with a sight ward. Dragons can win games by themselves. They can give my team the strength they need to carry mid game where I'm weak. Dragons are more important for Olaf than for most junglers for that reason, since very early game is one of his strong moments.
If you can get a few good kills on bot and a dragon or two with Olaf, the game is basically over. You'll still go useless mid game, but your team can hold it off until you get strong.
Clever split pushing is essential to success with Olaf during mid game. You need to threaten your opponents to relieve pressure from your team.
The longer the match goes the better.
Olaf counters the meta game.
Udyr fits into it.
Sorta just depends if you like to use the meta game to be strong or try to counter it I spose.
