I think, you need to buy
Wriggle's Lantern for good lane sustain. Because otherwise, his heals are not enough in the lane.

Strongly disagree. Just utilize the tag-back methodology and you'll come out on top almost every time. They'll get smart eventually, and you'll be free farming all day.

Holy Toledo, Batman, It's Cho'Gath!
Cheers Dotry.

I like to build a little AP for my Lanewick, and I actually have a lot of success with it.
I start off with a Doran's Ring and max out my Q right away, and after that Sorceror's Shoes, and by then your Q will be destroying anyone without absurd amounts of health or Magic Resist/armor. After that I take a malady, then build into Madred's, then after that I go tanky, maybe a Spirit Visage and Guardian Angel or something like that to annoy them.
I love harassing, so the Q is awesome for that. As an added bonus, the increased damage you do with it gives you more lifesteal and you can sustain yourself in lane for a long time if you have mana regen runes.
The problems I have with this build are:
1. Ranged-only lanes can be a nightmare without your ulti or someone else in your lane with a CC.
2. You have to be careful not to feed your lane and get kills/farm, because if not, you won't be as powerful later on.
3. While I have games where I get absurd amounts of kills, I also have games where I get tons of assists and maybe 1 or 2 kills, which isn't really bad if your teammates are getting a lot of kills themselves, but sometimes bothers me.
Let me know if there are problems with that, but I've had a lot of success with this build so far, even beating AD Warwicks on the enemy team.

^You need to go tanky earlier. Doran's Ring is a fine AP item and so is malady, but malady is kinda sub par compared to durability items.
Get tanky THEN get damage. Not the other way around.

"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.
I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

Lane still works, using a
As for AP, it's super fun, and crushes low CC team comps. I find it's better for duo lanes. It has a much higher risk/reward ratio than a tankier warwick build, but it can work. If you get behind though, you almost always lose.
