True, but I'm willing to bet that his Q will be pretty scary at close range. Maybe trade phantom for more damage? IDK just thinking.

If you're planning to be a hard carry you'll need I.E AS and more crit/AD.

If you're planning to be a tanky DPS then I dunno :o

No, just thought. You know... thinking?

One of Riot's side-projects is to encourage building AD -> Talon, Riven, both pure AD champions with high scaling.

At the very least, Graves will have good ratios, making building AD just as good as building AD on other champions (Ashe, Ezreal, Kog'Maw, etc) and necessary, seeing as he's a carry.


Judging from the spotlight:
Graves is an anti-melee, or anti-tanky.dps, but a tanky dps himself.

His passive, the triple-hit potential of his Q, his smoke screen (especially when used with his dash) all discourage melee-champions from going in too close. Threat of getting fog-blind, kited, and filled with holes.

Frozen Mallet is most likely a good choice on him though.

Like any good carry, if you can manage to position well, all you need is health.

He gets 40 Armor/MR at level 16 from his passive...
It's not a ton but it gives him a bit more survivability than most carries.

heres numbers if you were all wondering.

true grit = 1/2/3/4 armor/mr per second up to 10 stacks. if he does not deal or take damage in 4 seconds he loses it.

q - 60/105/150/195/240 +.8 bonus ad, deals 35% reduced damage on the second and third bullet if they hit the same target. 12/11/10/9/8 cd and 60/65/70/75/80 mana

w - 60/110/160/210/260 + .6 ap, 15/20/25/30/35% slow while in area, 20/19/18/17/16 cd and 70/75/80/85/90 mana

e - 40/50/60/70/80% as, 22/20/18/16/14 second cd 50 mana. at max with 1 pd you can pretty much have it up all the time, since the cd drops by 1 second with each shot.

r - 250/375/500 +1.4 damage to first target, 140/275/400 +1.2 cone. 80/70/60 cd and 100 mana.


definitely not a tanky dps.

How much MP does he have? Because the mana costs are pretty high to spam in 1 teamfight. Manamune or Blue will help him.

IF he had all his skills at level 1, he could use a full rotation. Honestly, his mana costs are a bit too low IMO.
EDIT: Just checked his CD on quickdraw. With 40% CDR+ something to kill+ 2.0 AS, he has infinite uptime on it... -.-
