Here is the thing. If someone wants to learn they will do the research. And if you help 1 person out there then imo it was worth it. Don't worry about the downvotes and just do your best. And always look for ways to improve. And remember: you are doing this to help the community... not for yourself or for recognition. If you are trying to help others people will realize that.

I had the same problem when I released my guide , I think it was just Sloppy and thus I got downvoted heavily. In the end I rose to the top and right now i've got a 85% guide rating. Keep updating and keep adding small changes. It will rise when it reaches greatness.

While I get sad that my Nasus guide has been so heavily downvoted, I don't really worry about it. If people like it, it'll rise. If it's not worthy of being at the top, then maybe it's just not that great :) Just hold your head up high and try again with a different champion when you feel up to it.
