Yeah, Panth needed buff, no one is playing him :P But that is beside the point... Point is this sucks balls. I pray that this block thing is no more then a lie, otherwise I am going to look for another game to play.
Your right about no one playing him but the few I have seen are kinda a disgrace. I'm not trying to brag but im pretty good with him lol. I don't think he needs a buff lol. But hopefully if it is true they try and make it balanced cause right now its OP.
Yeah right...the odds are always against you, huh?
See:
50% "block" (<- lets say blocking will completely negate dmg)
2 caster spell, both dealing 100 dmg: 1 blocked, 1 not = 100 dmg.
4 AA, all dealing 50 dmg: 2 blocked, 2 not = 100 dmg.
Dont get me wrong their, but if a number is decided by chance and you decide to test it, first it will be totatlly off, but gradually draw closer to its correct number.
A game on SR is enough to accomplish that.
Edit:
Yeah, it sucks if your ULTIMATE dmg spell is blocked, but same could happen to the only crit one AA would have dealt (or his ulti e.g.)
And, what happened to Riots non-RNG ideology, I dont know. Lets wait until they officially announce it. nly thing I say is, that THAT 100%-Block will never make it into LoL.

Yeah, but let's say a guy has a really low block chance, the base of 10% for example.
If he gets one lucky block on an AP carry, it'll have more effect than one lucky block on an AD carry. Not to mention being incredibly frustrating for the AP carry.
Remember that AP carries only HAVE four spells to use, and one of them is likely on at least a minute long cooldown. AD carries can attack as much as they like.

I think Luther is right about that. AP carries are more reliant on their 4 abilities. If one of those is blocked fully their damage output just got bent over. While 1 block of an AA on an AD carry that gets atleast 2 per second doesn't make that big of a deal.

Same argument ppl used against Dodge.
Its just not solid: Those 10% could easily deny EVERY single AA of one guy while another one hits you with his spells continuously.
Treating it your way, 1 AA would do the same dmg as on spell.
@Wenvarien
How many champs are out their who hit you with an AS of 2.0+...
That's exactly the reason Riot wanted to remove dodge.
Think of it this way, if the guy gets lucky and blocks all four skills of an AP carry, the AP carry has done 0 damage in the teamfight and cannot attack again until their cooldowns end.
If the guy gets lucky and blocks four autoattacks, so what? The AD carry can simply keep on attacking.
I'm not sure how I can explain that it would be unfair any better than that. It's the very nature of RNG to be somewhat random. It's simply the fact that AP carry spells do a lot more damage than one autoattack, and they only have four spells to use.
At any rate we both agree that Riot said they hated RNG, and now they apparantly decide to add in a much more widespread and compulsory RNG system. It doesn't make any sense to me.

oops sorry I meant 1 Darcurse. Not 2.
@Luther3000 They haven't decided to implement this. It's a "leak" so there's a chance that they could be getting rid of dodge and just revamping those that use it or the "leak" could be true.

.... omfg just how often do you repeat yourself, so that others have to repeat themselves..?
1. 100%-Block, not likely.
2. If you dont do the math behind it (at least some rough thinking) you wont understand why AD has no real advantage against AP regarding dmg.
3. In fact, if theres some advantage/disadvantage, it should be included in the question "Does blocking prevents special effects from applying?". If you can counter gap-closer from melees/gap-widers from ranged ones it can become real hell...
4. How the **** should I know if Riot actually backstabs the community faking a non-RNG policy?

1. The thread states it's capped at 40%. I never even mentioned anything about 100% block in any of my posts because I assumed it would be capped. Allowing players to get to 100% would be completely ******ed since it would literally make them invulnerable.
2. Herp derp cooldowns derp. I don't know how to explain it any more obviously that the luck factor would affect AP more. Mathematically you are correct, but unfortunately there is a random element that would hit AP harder.
3. Yeah this is a good point, if it blocks stuns and CC it'll be even more stupid.
4. Read my post again. It wasn't a question.

Thats why i am saying that it will be tweaked, if this Leak is for real.
Also, its not "unfair"...
Caster: 1 spell blocked = 0 dmg; same spell unblocked= all dmg
AA: 3 Attacks, same pattern.
Overall both got the same average dmg.
That is not how RNG works.
Actually come to think of it maybe it is, I suck at maths.
I'm just saying a lucky random block of the AP carry's ultimate is going to have a lot more effect than a lucky random block of one autoattack. And RNG luck like that is something that I thought Riot had made clear they were against.
