I think, block is waaay better than dodge at all. Now you can not only avoid the autoattack damage, no, you can avoid all damage.
Well, but this could result into a random requiem block or a burst combo block, which makes the game totally random at the result.
Hmm, also new items to reduce block chance. Sounds nice. And will be fun to find new builds.^^

Hey guys, we wanted to remake dodge so we created Block, which works like dodge, just for EVERYTHING.

Soo what they're saying is they wanted to remove some of the RNG, but then strengthens the RNG out to a place where it's totally imba, and nerfs casters into a whole new millenium, just after nerfing Lategame casters through masteries..

You still have to think about, you can get items with blockpenetration then. I think they will also create at least 1 block mastery(tier 2 defense) and block seals and quints(maybe also blockpenetration runes).
Also, I think they will include blockreduction. Maybe % and flat, too.
