Poppy is prolly one of the hardest carrys out there, once you got Trifore you do the rolling.

Poppy's always been my favorite champion. As long as you can get the farm for a triforce + DFG or a lich bane + DFG you're pretty unstoppable.
I personally prefer to play her as AP since her core is cheaper and easier to farm up and her burst is rediculously high.
She's decent top and can be played top against a bunch of champions, else you can play her bottom with a sustainy support and she'll do fine as well.
Also removing the cap on devestating blow would make her too strong lol, she already does really high damage to high health targets (if you go AP)

Poppy:A Scary Carry,I've been using this for a while and shes so OP if she gets 1 kill early.Poppy's my favorite champion,but ALL I SEE ARE AP POPPYS.It makes me so sad to see people using Poppy poorly.Im not saying AP Poppys are bad but AD has more potential,mainly because you have constant damage.So many times I've seen AP poppys push me into a wall, Devestating Blow me,then haul *** because their burst wasn't high enough.

I don't really understand why you would ever build attack speed and B.F. items on Poppy. You only have the duration of her ultimate to take someone out of the fight and besides that, you won't be able to be in fights for long. A squishy champion like Poppy will never be able to utilize all the damage from items like infinite edge or
Phantom Dancer.
You can build for optimized burst instead with either a hybrid build (triforce, dfg, bloodrazor or even gunblade) or AP.
You can get sustained damage through cooldown reduction.
