They're both good, it's just functionally speaking Havoc outshines vampirism for AD carries.

I run Vampirism when I solo lane with a 21/x/x however.

Yeah. As previously mentioned both are good and you're not ruining your game by taking one or the other, but the people who say, "Vampirism is better for AD carry" are the ones stuck in the math and the idea that you want perfect optimal returns on your investments.

Havoc is just functionally superior for AD carry archtypes.

And conversely, Vampirism is just functionally superior for bruisers in the solo lane.

Lets just say that vampirism on AD carry is good for noob autoattackers as there is not much dmg you do to creeps when lasthitting. And during team fights early/mid you attack when u are not focused. 20% or so start to be reliable but till that time dmg all the way => havoc mastery, LS later on when needed.
