I heard chrono trigger, yeah **** was amazing. But the best game Square ever did is Xenogears for PS1, if you haven't played it, YOU HAVE TO!
Idk bout that, both are great, but I still prefer chrono trigger
So I have to pay to play FF14? Or you just buy and play forever for free?

If you played FFXIV before the changes it sucked, now it competes with wowLK (and kicks Cata ***)
@Toshabi
I actually loved the stye of FFIX going back to what it used to be, what I didn't like was how slow the battle system was, I didn't like the story at all, and I didn't like the fact Zidane was a ripoff of Locke.
@TheJohn
Is free to play untill they release 2.0, wich won't be soon. at the end of feb they're adding advanced classes with patch, but will still be 1.somehing

Imo, FFIX has one of the best battle systems. Each character has unique abilities and does different stuff instead of being completely generic templates that you can customize to be good at anything, EG XII, XIII, VII and VIII. Too much customization over the characters cheapens them and the gameplay.
Like in FF8, it really doesn't matter at all which characters you use because they all have exactly the same stats and can be junctioned to do the same things. It only matters at all if you're using Aura/Limit Break strategies, in which case you want to use Squall and Zell because they have OP Limit Breaks. FFXII and XIII are even worse on this because you don't even have Limit Breaks in those games. The same thing applies to VII, but at least in VII you got your Limit Break extremely often without having to use an item or get to ridiculously low health.

Plus, FF7 was literally the first videogame I ever played. I will never be able to forget the opening music to FF7, no matter how long I live. Every time I listen to it I feel calm and happy.
