He was 'OP' (I don't agree, but w/e), then he got 'nerfed' (I believe he actually got buffed in the most recent patch? :P) and now 'you lose instantly if you play against him' (which I can't really comment on since I haven't faced him in the new patch, but before I think he was actually rather weak)?

whoops. He got buffed the last patch so now he is even more OP. That is what I meant. A friend playing Cass totally pwned him, 1/4 laning phase I believe, and he just roflstomped us anyways.

Timeline of Jax changes that I've been through
Initial: Stun on demand, AP/AD=HP for him
Last patch: More satisfying to play as, lost the on demand stun, loses tanky stats from damage
This patch: Regains the on demand stun loses nothing to compensate.
Jax is a weird Hybrid in that you need a tank to kill him with his large amount of split damage.
