Right, and how would one determine who the representative should be...?

Must be fun to tryout and then be placed in the 20th team cause you suck, lol :P

Players can make teams of their own if they so badly want them, right? :|

Don't tryout if you can't handle a loss.

Let's not have sports in schools anymore, it'd be a shame if people lost. >:P

Its just my opinion that if MobaFire takes it's players seriously, and is seriously interested in MOBA style games, then they need to step up and get a team together to represent themselves.

Otherwise this is just another fanboy forum for people to discuss their favorite game. I'm okay with that, but truth be told I'd much rather support a site that was actually involved in the game itself, instead of just talking about it.

Most other LoL forums have a team, and I can only think that they look at us members of mobafire not as players, but as talkers.

You hear solo mid, you think Tournament, wins, games, oh, and they have a forum.

Even the LoL subreddit has a team now.

I'm sorry but if, in the coming year or so, mobafire does not take a bigger role in the game itself, I might slowly fade away. Waxing and polishing my online ego is great and all, but there just is not a point to me if they aren't organizing events, and most importantly getting a team out there - officially backed by mobafire. I understand they fear expenses / other ****, but it's free to make a team, and free to practice with a team. We may not be able to grind out 18 hours every day for lack of actual sponsor money, but at least we'd have a team on the board, participating in what they can and getting mobafire's name out there.

Until then, I view us all as more "talkers" than "players." And most other communities have the exact same view of us.

If you have more posts than you have games won, you're failing unless you are just learning the game. You're spending too much time talking about something. Action is what makes the world turn, not words.

not saying I wouldn't want to try out...But it's not up to "mobafire" to take its community seriously. It's for us to be serious. They provide a service that we use....They're not obligated to provide us with anything. I'm not saying they wouldn't if the felt the community deserved it...But yeah....

Where does it say this? All I see is MobaFIRE - Strategy Guides For League of Legends.

hmmm.. okay, I want to accept strategy guides from casual, sub-par players that have their name no where, or do I want to accept guides from professionals, whose builds have to be good to make money, who know the game inside and out because they grind it constantly - like work. Players who have actually practiced with a team. Do we even have a member above 2000 Elo?

If I would have read that this site is only for casual gamers, I might have never joined. Why would I even bother joining a forum, theorycrafting, and making in game friends for a game that I don't even take seriously?

/sighs

I'm not against a team being formed from the mobafire player base.

But as I asked before, who would manage the team? You want mobafire to become a tournament player ok, well if there's an investor out there for us to all move into an apartment together to practice like TSM (I think they all live together right?) if you want it to be an "unofficial" team cool...Sounds like you wanna go hard core though, and there is an extremely large amount of responsibility that goes into that.

I won't participate in a team that doesn't practice regularly personally.

I'm pretty sure there were speculations of an official one like Team LC with Chandro and some other plat people.

Not sure what happened to that.

This is the same choice as we all share, do I want to buy my groceries from the local shop or from a food chain corporation which sells it on special offer (aka cheaper).

I think there was another topic when someone replied to me which was of some relevance to this situation. People who are good at the game, aren't necessarily good at making guides. I know, its unbelievable isn't it? If you want said guides then go to SoloMid instead of some neurotic whining, your in a dream world if you think that we can as a 5man team be on the same competitive level as TSM unless you can find individuals with the spare time to dedicate to a game then go for it.

I'd tell you why, cause you don't have to be hardcore in order to spend an hour in the afternoon theorycrafting or wishing to play with friendly people when you do actually play. Seriously, I love the sudden change in attitude, not everyone is going head over heels over the idea - get over it. Rather then slagging off and going in some rambling adolescent mood swing.
