I care because your understanding of the game seems to be seriously flawed and you're expressing it to other people as if it's the truth. :P
Why does the game have to played the same way all the time? There are exceptions, you know. There are other items for reasons. What is the point of an item if nobody should ever use it?

I would rather build TBC on Pantheon because he has cooldowns. Once I jump on somebody and combo, I'm not just going to stand there and wait for cooldowns. I'm going to auto-attack until I can throw out abilities again. I think it's stupid to sacrifice useful attack speed, attack damage and flat armor penetration just for one enemy. That is my reasoning.

Regarding LW/BC though, well, like it or not there are items in the game that nobody should ever use. BC is not one of them, but I do think LW is better in most circumstances. With BC you have to attack three times on each target, you get nothing on your skills without attacking first, it's not as effective on tanks, it's more expensive. Overall LW is just more reliable.

There are only game plans for fights, and you can't count on the game plan going smoothly every fight.
Tryndamere and Olaf are pretty cool because they break traditional teamfight dynamic.
