counter Irelia with Riven?

Abuse her early in the lane when she is weakest. Once you have the hang of the matchup start going dorans. Dorans allows you to truly win the lane rather than stalemate it however it is much more difficult to pull off. Verdict: Killable Lane Pre-9, then becomes difficult. Ask for that early gank. I don't see why people have an issue with not crushing their lane. Many times all you have to do is not feed and get enough CS to get by as well as maybe a Gold/5 item if you feel the need and that shuts down certain champs. [[Irelia]] is only super powerful if she has a couple kills or is super farmed. Just don't let her win early and make sure to tell your team when she goes MIA and she'll fall off late game while you won't. Everything that huge book up above says is true and will take you far, but don't think it's the bible. Adapt. That's how you win. And do it faster than her, because, oh yeah, she knows her weaknesses. Don't think a good [[irelia]] is going to let you exploit them.[/quote]
