Weekly Inhouse Spotlights

Both teams had a lot of poke which made for a lot of action early. GrandmasterD (GrandmistressD) got several kills early, and his first buy was a Rabadon’s Deathcap. Needless to say this was terrifying and our team was shaking in our boots whenever he ulted. I recall a time when we were all low and saw the Karthus lazer coming down on our heads, and 3 of us used heal just to survive. Another time a Karthus ult was going off while we were taking the inhibitor, but I was full health so I was like “no problem!” Then IceCreamy’s Ezreal ult hit me at the same time and needless to say, I was a dead Ashe. There was also the great Karthus Quadra kill with just his ultimate (no one else around). Luckily I was already dead so it wasn’t a penta! ;) However, we had Khazem as Nidalee was picking off enemies left and right with spears and some kitty kitty meow meow action. We were losing at first but, the combination of Ashe ult, Malphite ult, and Gangplank ult was very hard for the other team to deal with. I was also glad I took exhaust because Barbarian J spun and crit me in the face one too many times! After a lot of back and forth we finally won with a good Ashe arrow to TheRedPenguin on Soraka and a final push. Ultimate Bravery is where you go to a website and get sent a champion and build that you have to follow precisely. This game felt more like a match of “who got the worse builds,” but I found it pretty fun. Let me tell you I never ran out of mana! EvilDice carried pretty hard, I saw him escape ganks with that Quicksilver Sash several times too! All the revives on the enemy team could be confusing at times too. I would be like “didn’t I just kill him?!” [clear] On Saturday both EUW and NA also had some Constructive Criticism matches. The point of these are to be more serious and get tips to improve your gameplay or just practice. [center][embed=http://www.own3d.tv/Mowen/watch/682031][/center] Here is a game on EUW that I got the chance to spectate and commentate on. Xenasis decided to try an uncommon jungler, Ezreal. I’ve seen Ezreal jungle be successful once but he really has to get kills early in order to keep up on items. This didn’t really happen this game and Xenasis fell behind ExamplePrime on Amumu. Wintermond went top on Irelia versus Khazem on Renekton. Top was pretty evenly matched, or Wintermond would out sustain Khazem, but then Luther3000 chipped in with some Karthus ults and turned the lane into Khazem’s favor. Bot lane had Jpikachu1999 (Cyclopes8) on Leona, and they were bullied quite hard since his EUW account is level 6 and he had no runes / masteries. This made his Leona quite squishy and they had trouble in lane. All of this led to a pretty decisive victory for Blue team. First thing that needs to be made clear is that Tristana Leona bot lane is OP. There’s just so much burst damage at level 2 it is really hard to deal with. Needless to say we capitalized on this and snowballed. Xaioli jungled Kayle on the other team, which isn’t very common but works pretty well. Since we had good ward coverage bot he snuck into the brush in lane and nabbed my killing spree money with a nice gank. I am not entirely sure how Intell1gence (Pwnzor1130) got fed but he played really well and was very scary in teamfights. The other team put up a good fight, stealing baron twice and stopping us from ending the game, but in the end we were too far ahead and just pushed to victory. It’s very hard for the enemy team to kill Tristana when she has Alistar and Leona protecting her, and her own knockback and escape.[/quote]
