I figured since no one else has posted this, I might as well.

I've been playing games on The Proving Grounds for the most part, as I wanted to explore builds more fully without going 40~ minutes into the game on Summoner's Rift. Sadly, I haven't met many players that last that long, I usually have stomped them. Thus, I haven't explored a build much.

Final build idea:

Mercury's Treads
Trinity Force (Not sure whether this or Frozen Mallet)
Bloodthirster
Warmog's Armor
Maw of Malmortius
Guardian Angel

Another build idea:

Mercury's Treads
Bloodthirster
Frozen Mallet
Randuin's Omen
Maw of Malmortius
Guardian Angel

Yet another build idea:

Mercury's Treads
Trinity Force
Wit's End
Bloodthirster
Black Cleaver or Last Whisper
Frozen Heart or Guardian Angel

I'm thinking that he would be best run top lane, built as a bruiser. His range will be beneficial for free poke and his melee form has quite a bit of burst as well. He can probably be run as a ranged AD carry as well, but he is more focused on his spells and ridiculous AD ratios rather than crits.

I'll continue experimenting, but I've been using 21/9/0 masteries (standard AD carry masteries even for bruiser) and skilling R > Q > E > W. It's focused on doing a bunch of early/burst damage while in Hammer form. If I was going to focus on Crossbow form, then I'd probably skill R > Q > W > E, as the W proc in bow form is actually pretty powerful.

Bruiser build order:

Boots + 3 Health Potions
Doran's Blade
Doran's Blade
Phage
Mercury's Treads
Sheen
Vampiric Scepter
Trinity Force
Bloodthirster
Warmog's Armor
Maw of Malmortius
Guardian Angel

Anybody have any other ideas for builds and setups? I know I haven't got the optimal setup and I haven't experimented too much with it.

He seems pretty standard bruiser for the most part. Though, I have a feeling since he can be a ranged characetr at lvl 1, NEW RANGED CARRY HUE HUE.

He is so ridiculous at level 2. It's pretty easy to win against most melee at level 2. E - Q in bow form, R to switch, Q - E in hammer form = super burst.

I'm thinking Trinity Tank, but I haven't had the chance to play him on PBE yet.

He seems to be like Darius: BROKEN to most characters.
I saw him in PBE and disliked him. Maybe that is just me, but I don't really like the concept of an OP Nidalee.
Thanks to Xiron and ProAsylum (Ignition) for the amazing signatures!

@NicknameMy

Probably, max E first for % HP damage. He has AoE on his Q (both forms), and he passively gets mana back from his W.

@Berzerk

Any ideas on how to build him? I really like him, and I found it quite easy to get the hang of switching between forms, but I still haven't decided on the best build for him.

@iownedya

I don't know, he's more of a lane bully then anything. He's not broken in my opinion, he's fairly balanced. He's meant to win the lane, but he seems to have a lackluster teamfight in my opinion. He has to poke (like Nid) before hand, and when he gets close he can be demolished with some focus. It was pretty funny playing against a Kat though, she was so mad I kept disrupting her ult :D

That's pretty much what I was thinking for the final build, as a bruiser that is.
He's got 500 range in cannon form so, AD carry doesn't work amazingly for him. But he has a natural 2.5 AS steroid so AS isn't a big deal on him.

Only works for 3 attacks though, sadly. It is pretty powerful.

I'm debating on whether to go R > Q > E > W, or R > Q > W > E. The first way gives a bunch of burst in Hammer form + your Q does good damage in Ranged form. The second way gives good burst on your Q in Ranged, and gives nice sustained damage on your W in Ranged form, but not that great in Hammer form.
