Forgot about the blind >_<
I still maintain that there are better top lane characters out there though.
And pushing too hard is a two edged sword - yes, it does mean that you can dominate the lane, but it also is just begging to be constantly ganked. So his pushing isn't necessarily a plus point...
Edit:
I've tried Heimer a few times, found him a bit meh tbh. I just don't find his skill set that much fun to play with... And his voice really annoys me.
I've also not really seen many good Heimers out there, so yeah that's influenced my thinking on him.

IF someone can play Heimer at the professional level (there are some who can) still doesn't make him anywhere remotely close to "good" he can fit a small niche role. He's completely UP, needs some rebalances and buffs. Heimer USED to be fun, but he was fun because he was OP for the time. Now he's just weak, useless, and completely reliant on his team to be useful. His passive is meh, his turrets are weak, his rockets have too long a CD and WAY to big a range, his grenade is slower than slow, and his ultimate leaves little to be desired.
He is first and foremost a kite champion with no escape, his only truly DEFENSIVE tool is his grenade, which is easily avoided. And his turret slows are ignorable on most beefier champions. He isn't a burst mage (persay) like Annie/Veigar and he isn't a DPS mage like Cass/Ryze...He falls somewhere in between and that in between makes him near worthless in any team comp.
If you're going for a push comp, he still doesn't compare to most AD champs or AoE clear *****s like Morganna or Anivia. If you're going for poke Ezreal/Nidalee/Ahri crush him. He just doesn't have the same strengths he did back in the day. 3 Turrets (at level 1) with longer range and better damage. Overall he's just lackluster, you can love champions as much as you want, isn't going to make them stronger or more viable.
Other people may disagree, that's their opinion, I have mine. Heimerdinger sucks and is at best a "troll" option for now.

Haha, good stuff. I agree his voice is annoying. I agree he can easily push and defend turrets, but constantly pushing as heimer is a mistake... you get ganked, and then you lose. I sit on my mana, leave a turret close to the turret I am covering, and based on the champ I am playing against, I usually poke them outta the lane early and often with my grenade and rockets. Combining that with a good jungle who times his ganks right, heimer forces teams outta their normal game plan. Heimer is NOT a carry... The only time heimer carries is when the rest of the team sucks. I usually turn aggressive at lvl 10 when I have my build going nicely, my red turrets, and the enemy champ has run back to base... I knock down the turret in 10 seconds and move to help the top and bot knock theirs down. The sustained damage from heimer's turrets is crazy if the other team ignores them (often because people underestimate heimer).
It utterly confuses me how a champion can go untouched as far as nerfs and buffs, yet still manage to go from being considered OP to UP over time.
Heimer can still two-hit people when fed. He is still really difficult to push a lane against. He can still push really hard when he needs to.
The definition of in-between for me more or less means the champion is well-rounded. I don't see why that is a bad thing.

Personal habitual activites? Utilizing gargantuan idioms to fabricate intelligence.

Hey guys remember when
Heimerdinger was so OP he could block minions in mid lane forever and unleash hell upon his enemy laner? :D

Most of the 'strengths' you guys are talking about are best case scenario. Pushing your lane isn't smart, especially when your as slow as Heimer is. Mid is a nice place for him, but when it comes down to it higher end players don't worry about heimer because he isn't that hard to understand. You can poke people out of lane if they are stupid, but standing next to minions fixes that. Sure you can push to compensate, but what happens when someone ganks you? If your building to carry your to easy to kill and if your building survival your to easy to ignore.
That is my 2cents on Heimer. Now if he could Alt control his turrets.... man I would love that.

His poke is prolly the Best in the game though.
Hé only fits in a niche teamcomp based around poking which is just hard to properly abuse in soloq.
Hé is a fun champion though
