^Not so simple. What if you have a Fiddle's jungle, Annie mid, Sona support and Ashe AD? Full on squish BAR Riven. Lots of damage on the team, but no tankiness. Most games I run Merc's, Bloodthirster, GA and then situational items. There has hardly ever been a game where I've played Riven where I don't need to tank. Yes, Riven scales of AD, but there are definitely times when I've had to be *the tank* and *the tank* doesn't buy LW.
In general, more AD = easier last-hitting. more Arp = more damage to champs in the early game.
It's basically up to you since it doesn't matter much damage-wise. It's a myth that arp is better late-game, ad is better by then.

As far as i know, flat ad, followed by or tied with attack speed outwieghs arp early. This is due to lower armor values pre 15 minutes. Champions like darius, irelia, riven, olaf, and jax gain more from early ad than arp. This is due to the focus on last hitting creeps more effectively in lane and providing harass over time. Arp is a mid and or late game stat that if more heavily beneficial to ad carrys who go bot lane. Reason being ad bruisers are often more durable in their builds meaning they do less damage for a longer duration. Ad carries however need to do as much damage as possible in the least amount of time.
To summarize ad bruisers do not need to prioritize arp for the lane. If anything they may get arp for later, but it shouldnt be needed.

It all depends how you play and how you build your champion.
So basically trying them out to see how they work out is the best choice.
