That's assuming observer's have the same minimap at all. Riot would be working very hard to balance a feature like this to eliminate cheating, or at least minimize it to an effect.

I feel Observer mode could work so long as what Zeprido said, they keep it to one side. Maybe for custom games, they could have an option to show fully, since I've hosted/recorded ARAM games but only from one side of the field.
With HoN having it for God knows how long, it's just crazy to me how this hasn't been brought up.

Don't shoot me for this but as B-Wong and others have said, a replay system similar to Cod:Black Ops would be perfect, with a host server for downloading your game replays off. Of course maybe only 10 games are saved at a time.

Watching a stream or recording of gameplay only shows the recorders perspective. I would assume in the replay mode an inclusion of some sort of fast forward and rewind feature like Starcraft 2 would be included.
I haven't seen CoD:Black Ops replay system but something like that would be pretty great too.

That's assuming ranked/premade custom's matches would have the same observer mode. Perhaps allow observers to vote on a side to observe and all observers can only observe that side. I'd love to be able to hit a button and see a list of games about to start only showing the team comps (or something like that). However in replay mode you can go back and watch it from the other perspective.
