I'd say he stays relatively the same in strength. I found his early / mid game to be his strongest and that he snowballs very well. It will take some getting used to for me because I'm used to the early game power, but a 0.2 AP ratio increase is a LOT and that will make him scale better into late. The width reduction is kinda sad for me but to be honest it was pretty buggy that the hit box was outside the particle. XD

Well for AD Ez it's an obvious nerf, while for AP Ez it breaks even at:
280 + 0,6x = 250 + 0,8x
30 = 0,2x
x = 150
So yeah, early game slightly weaker but late game way stronger. As it should be, I guess ^^

but the math is correct, so, seems answered.
Coupled with the Mystic Shot buff it's just a way to shift people back to maxing Q first as AD Ez.
I essence it basically no different than it was before. Simply means that AD Ez SHOULD be maxing Q now, if they opt for an early sheen though, maxing Essence Flux will actually still be more profitable (I think)

Im talking about ap ez early q is better for ad now. Still apparently ezreal will hit alot harder late game now with ap buff by .2 and only 10dmg off w.
Yea the funny part is I've rarely ever maxed W first, except maybe against Graves+Nunu/Blitz or something... This whole thing is a straight buff to my Ezreal :3
EDIT: On-topic, AP Ezreal is now more or less on par with the old AP Ezreal, but to be honnest, I prefer it now. You get rewarded more for being more accurate, basically. I guess that's a good thing, compared to an easy-to-land skill which didnt scaled as good as now.

I realize you're talking about AP Ez. I was indirectly stating that this change effectively did nothing harmful. His low AP ratio with high base damage has now been rearranged so he has a good ratio (great ratio actually) in conjunction with slightly lower base damages, meaning he doesn't fall of as much late game nd his early/mid game are about the same.

Damage reduced to 70/115/160/205/250 from 80/130/180/230/280.
Ability Power ratio increased to 0.8 from 0.6.
