Corki's free at the moment so I was playing him in bots game. Got multiple double, triple and even a quadra kill (my first ever). Needless to say I'm pretty stoked on Corki now. Of course, beginner bots is way different from PvP, so I was just wondering if some more serious players would recommend him for PvP? And if so what guide would be recommended (something that's up to date and not too difficult for a beginner to understand)

Thanks :)

He's a great AD for PvP, arguably one of the strongest picks out there. Playing him well will take mostly practice, but you can check out chaox's guide to get you started if you like. I believe it's pretty up to date.
Thanks to Lugignaf for the sig!

Who's the best AD in the game? Is it a clear choice or is Corki different enough to still warrant using?

My biggest difficulty in PvP is positioning, it's really frustrating when it seems like my opponents always have perfect coordination. I buy boots and a vision ward and ward the river and then on my way around the corner to get to my turret I get ganked from the bushes on the edge of the map. Or I'm trying to push a lane to down a turret while the lane looks clear only to be ganked. Maybe a lot of it is just map awareness but I don't have a team to talk to on skype and it seems like every PvP match is against pros strategising and coordinating in real time lol >.<

I'd say Ezreal is slightly better but it's pretty close between him, Corki and Graves.

Once you've been playing and watching the game for long enough most of that stuff comes naturally to you, just keep practicing it.

Corki's Valkyrie is an easy way to correct minor positioning errors. It has a ridiculously large range that can let you escape situations where you would otherwise die. Ezreal's Arcane Shift is similar, though a little shorter range I believe, but it's quicker.

As for warding, ideally you'll have a support that will do most of the warding for you. If no one is buying any wards, it doesn't hurt to get a couple though.
Thanks to Jovy for the sig!

Valkyrie has almost twice the range, but Arcane Shift is instant, on a lower CD with the possibility of lowering the CD further using Mystic Shot.

I find Corki's kit is easier to make use of since it relies less on poke and skillshots and does better in direct engagements. Newer players also tend to realize later when they make positioning errors, so the extra range on his dash will probably come in handy.

I agree, but Graves is probably easier still. :P
