Actually, some people lately played Yi top lane and bring Meditate to level 3 + Wriggle's Lantern for nearly unbeatable lane sustain. Also they can farm there more than in the jungle. And one thing Yi has over Trynd, slow immunity. I think Yi would be a better pick than Tryndamere vs a team with nearly only slows as cc.
Well, but both Yi and Trynd suck.

Draven is ****ing OP late game.
Annie is fine, people are building her wrong.
Fiora destroys top lane, and carries late game, very hard to play.
AP Teemo is actually fine, as long as it's not full on AP teemo. Like, Malady > Nashors > Rylai's > Deathcap > Abyssal is really good.
Tri lane for life.
