Why you should vote for Obama

I believe that the electoral college assigns a # of votes to a state based on its population, but I may be mistaken. Also, why would Obama visit a SUPER-RED state like Texas? Why would Romney visit a state that will vote Dem no matter what, like California?[/quote]
