The increase part is referring to the hydrocarbon use, not the glacier size, which is the axis on the right and is not inverted. If you're talking about the glacier length axis then yes, it is inverted, but claiming it is a decrease doesn't make much sense since the graph already explains that the glaciers are shortening in the commentaries. 3. Yeah, but you don't know if the change is supposed to increase or decrease tornadoes. 4. The spectrum shows how much the CO2 is absorbing the radiation. If CO2 didn't absorb radiation then we could have a whole atmosphere of CO2 and barely anything would show on the graph. This graphic shows that CO2 does have an effect, it's massive quantities can't be diregarded.
