Just added the 'Advanced Static Field' section. I think I'm getting ready to archive and repost this guide soon...

Because 1s off of a 20s CD is smaller than 1s off of a 9s CD, percentagewise. Even if you lower the CD, you can only use it once per combat, whereas you can use Powerfist two or three times per combat.

I have been maxing Q as of late in practice though. I'm thinking of including that as a secondary build. It really depends on your carry, I guess. I use Q first for Draven b/c Draven can kill them no problem, but I expect to need more harassment when laning with, say Ezreal or Ashe, and I'm not likely to use it with Tristana in case Tristana wants to jump when I'm grabbing (thus she misses the skillshot).

Just curious, why don't you max q first to reduce its cooldown?

Review:

I don't really play Blitz, but I can tell right off the bat your cheat sheet is bad.

First of all, where are you getting all that money? You're reaching roughly 14000g, and you SELL SIGHTSTONE in the end (according to cheat sheet. Final build should have Ruby Sightstone in it, or no 6th item so you can buy wards). >_>

Randuins, Morellos, Banner, and WotA are all suboptimal item choices.

You aren't really a frontline champion so Randuins is useless. You should be protecting your AD, not killing the other team.

You don't deal consistent magic damage nor should you be using your magic damage to kill champions so Morellos is useless, except for the stats which can be obtained from other items.

Don't think anyone would go Banner.

WotA isn't worth it because you don't benefit from it, and very few champions can use the aura at all. 2500g just to benefit one champion isn't gold efficient.

Swifties are overrated on Blitz, either go Mobility Boots, Tabi, or Mercs. You won't need that consistent movespeed nor will you need the slow reduction when all you have to do is grab someone or knock up people close to your AD.

Upgrading Sightstone is unnecessary until after mid game starts, not during early mid game. What are you going to do with 3 wards while you're still in lane? You ward Drag, Tribush, and that's it. No need for a 3rd yet.

Runic Bulwark is expensive as **** and should be a super late game purchase.

No point in maxing E when you can have W for mobility in lane or Q for burst. Most of the time fights are decided with a Grab, knockup, and ult. A reduced E cooldown isn't necessary unless you're constantly being engaged on.

Also, no ultimate at 11 or 16? That's a lot of burst you're missing out on. And as a kill lane support, you really don't want to miss it.

Block required in Defense Tree, Nimble and Awareness should be replaced as Block is too good to pass up. You're against an ADC and possible a ranged support as a melee. How will you handle their harass?

Also, Summoner's Insight > Expanded Mind . I mean, really, you'd rather have 72 mana instead of a reduced Flash cooldown...?

Skills

No explanation of Mana Barrier?

Rocket Grab - Should be used to peel for AD Carry.

Static Field - Again, you're a kill lane support. You want damage to kill people. Therefore, put points into it. I don't care if it pushes your lane or the utility doesn't increase. I'd take 125 damage over a 1 second CD reduction on E any day.

Runes

Yellows - Why not get Armor Yellows, have an easier lane phase, and just build health through items?

Using Turrets
Quoted:
Most carries and ranged supports can survive three consecutive turret hits early game in addition to the damage from your Power Fist

*can't

Items

Quoted:
You could also build Ohmwrecker if you need to backdoor. Blitzcrank is surprisingly good at this.

What the hell.

Iceborn Gauntlet - Mainly used for peeling for AD Carry, you don't buy this because you can slow them after you knock them up. Also, unfinished explanation?

Banshee's Veil
Quoted:
It's useful for using your Rocket Grab without being interrupted.

It never gets interrupted in the first place.

Locket of the Iron Solari
Quoted:
You can probably imagine how useful it is.

I can't. Explain it to me.

Enchantment: Homeguard is an option for boots.

Lane Synergy

Kog'Maw
Quoted:
Also, Kog'maw's range means he does not need Rocket Grab.

Wrong. Pull people AWAY from him, gg.

Tristana
Should be high synergy. Blitz + Trist has one of the highest possible level 2 bursts in the game. Landed a grab? Free kills.

No explanation on what to do in game?

Overall, not a good guide. A lot of information is either bad or incorrect, and your guide doesn't show how one plays Blitzcrank.

Okay, I want to consider Rylai's Scepter as a support item for Blitzcrank due to the lightning off of R. It might just work in combination with Iceborn and it targets the closest enemy.

It's only 30%, and 20% of that is just Shurelya's and Iceborn, which both have legitimate reasons for being in the build. I said you can replace the last three with other items.

Edit: Oh, you mean the Suicidal CDR? The one labelled "Ignore this"? The one called SUICIDAL? That was me experimenting with what happens when you build pure CDR to show the mistakes I made while crafting the guide. You can see that he comes out waaaaay too squishy, and yes, you don't need that much CDR.

the CD reduction build is very extreme. dont be that exagerated. All champions have to have some ballance on late game

good support build for a awesome support champion. thinking on team. Only need to get a little more tanky items but its not that bad

Yeah, you can build Q first, but the effect on the CD of E is must more magnified by upgrading it, which adds up when taking down turrets early game, or building Manamune when you need to go offensive.
