I'm sorry, I generally don't bite at things like this but Pheyniex, you don't really understand that the department that deals with things like this has nothing to do with live balance and design right? Not to turn this thread into a discussion thread but I think these patches have been not bad at all.

When you keep on changing the 'meta' so constantly, when you throw in bizarre tweaks to items for no reason, that's not 'OOOO RIOT BEING SO SUPER COOL N JUST MAKING US FIND NEW WAYS TO BUILD', that's called being clueless.

in all seriousness, how much do you have to change your normal build to counter such stuff. how much do you have to invest to nullify or mitigate a tbc+botrk? armor bec0mes useless, unless you manage to get 500 armor, and giants belt met another nerf recently.
all in all, it may be different department, but it still is allocation of resourses, and riot clearly likes marketing.
i'm still waiting to know if its brass with a cromium/niquel/copper coating, bc I belive it is and that is a very poor choice of material. anyway, enjoy it, oxide.
