Ok allow me to dispell this: Ezreal IS NOT a burst ADC. Ezreal is a poke/farm adc, and farm adcs are what synergize well with Soraka. (excuse my spelling)

If you actually read the guide, you would know that this is based of a pro player. I didn't pull this build out of my ***, as some of you have suggested. This is based off a build that has consistently been used by a challenger 1 tier player, NintendudeX, who has won almost all of his games using this build. This build will actually work, and has allowed my team to take control of a game, even after our laning phase has not worked so well. Just because you believe that support should be built a certain way does not mean that other ways wont work.

So you're flat out admitting this is a straight up carbon copy of someone else's work...very respectable.

Damn Satella, you did not chew your words on this one.
Anywho I see as this guide has some pretty decent coding and... Well it has some pretty decent coding, that's it.

Heal is a no-no. Soraka already has one that is significantly better, and another that heals globally. Take advantage of those two spells to squeeze in an Exhaust to help your carry land a kill.

♥ Why not get Kage's Lucky Pick AND Philosopher's Stone in the same build? The passive's have different name's and therefor stack. You're support, so you're going to have little to no creep kills, so you need the gold from somewhere.

Shurelya's Battlesong and Mikael's Blessing are NOT situational. You could save lives since both your heals have long cooldowns. Mejai's Soulstealer is a big no-no unless you're doing so incredibly well that even the support is fed, and even then: There's better.

♥ While I guess Shard of True Ice can work, I prefer to go for Twin Shadows but that's just me.

Sightstone should be rushed after GP10, not delayed.

♥ Elixers? Why? Wha-? Oracle's of course, but Fortitude?

Summoner's Resolve doesn't make Heal better, it just increases your HP by 5 each level (which is meh for a support, since they don't need the extra HP unless they are tanky, which Soraka is not).

♥ 25 Utility? Why? Scout is disgustingly useless. Why none in Artificer ? I know it looks bad, but for a support who's going to be using a lot of active items, it isn't half bad.

Greater Mark of Magic Penetration? Why? You're not a damage dealer, you don't need pen. Your Starcall will be enough to bump down some defense for your allies. Greater Seal of Armor; if you debate me on this I will punch you. Greater Glyph of Ability Power; I personally prefer flat AP, helps more early game, and is much more noticable than scaling.
Greater Quintessence of Ability Power; Greater Quintessence of Gold is still better because it's supposed to boost your gold, not just hand out 100 every so often. It becomes noticable when you're stacking Kage's and Philo's; Which you're not. You're not understanding the logic here "YOU DON'T NEED AP EARLY GAME." If you can get it without a hitch, great! But don't sacrifice runes/masteries/items for it.

All in all: 2/10. Would not bang again.

Odd runes, odd masteries, but dayum, dat guide actually is pretty good :D

I know you're trying to go the constructive criticism route, but you don't have to lie about the guide being "pretty good". That's just misleading.
  • Synergy section does not mention the biggest reason to pick Soraka: Sivir.
  • The rationale for taking Summoner's Resolve , "for increased Heal", is wrong, demonstrating that he doesn't actually understand what the mastery point does.
  • Clarity is listed as "viable".
  • The ward positioning images seem to be plagiarized because they all contradict each other and were not made by the guide author.
  • "The Oracle's Elixir should only be bought for stealth detection of champions in team fights" <--- Are you ****ing serious? That is NOT the reason why you buy Oracle's Elixir.
  • "I have seen a sufficient amount of games to understand his success with Soraka and I wish to share that with you." <--- Watching a pro player yet not understanding why he plays a certain way makes you unqualified to comment on this. The commentary you write throughout the guide show that you do not, in fact, understand how to play Soraka. I recommend that you actually play her in PvP games to understand the champion, not just thinking a pro player's stream will educate you.

The only parts of this guide that seem even remotely plausible are the parts he copied from the high-elo Soraka player. Most of the original content feels like Bronze V ********.

Odd runes, odd masteries, but dayum, dat guide actually is pretty good :D

Still, lot's of things to improve:
* Add more tactics than just warding; though warding is one of the duties as a support, there is more to being a support than just that :P
* I got sooooooooooooooooo many questions about the build, why do you have 3 different cores, and all of them have a different GP10 or even 0 GP10, instead of building both of them? Why are your runes full AP when supports should have a more defensive role? Why did you put 25 points in 1 mastery three instead of having a 21-9 or 9-21 or whatever?
* The chapter order is sooo odd, put lane synergy as one of the last chapters and skill sequence + summoner spells as one of the first (right after pros and cons, not before that)

Let's just start with this.
Make sure you listen to all your readers, because I feel like your getting a lot of criticism :P
Useful criticism :D
Use it :D

Good luck :D

You can start by learning how a support should be runed and how the masteries should be specced. After that, you can do proper research into how to skill Soraka properly.
