Just make discussion from people other than the blog writer bump it to the front page for up to 14 days after it's initially published. This way useful blogs stay featured, and worthless blogs die slowly in a hole.

Who judges which are the best blogs? upvote downvote blog posts? No thank you.

Well, you could for example have a few approved blog posters, just the way you suggested it, and have them appear separately from the other blogs.

That's just bad. Approved blog writers can publish utter garbage of no worth or substance and "unapproved" writers can write the best piece of theorycraft ever and one would be buried while the other gets featured on the front page, in the exact opposite fashion as what you want to accomplish.

Well of course they can, but then you could make it so they could lose their status? I am quite certain a lot of the people that are really active on mobafire wouldn't bother wasting their time writing garbage. I'm sure I wouldnt.

I think blogs should have a minimal amount of words, like 100 or 200 or something, reducing the amount of **** blogs by a lot :P

I support this statement. I would be happy if MobaFire updated their profile pages to include "updates", wherein people can post a 25 word statement of how they are feeling or whatever, but blogs should have a word count minimum to stop people from spamming what can be seen as "useless" posts.

If they would just use a "Blogs require this amount of words to get the front page"-system, it would already improve a lot.

I think that would be enough honestly

Has been mentioned and should be on the to-do list.

it would be a fantastic place to start, but there have been a lot of hello I'm new blogs lately so maybe they should have their own section altogether so for example your first blog does not go into the main blog stream/page but a secondary stream/page idk

I'd like to personally thank you for the shout out. :D I do put a lot of work in to my actual blogs, forgive me for having too many stream ad blogs lately. ><

And yea, I absolutely agree with you. sometimes I am incredibly saddened to put hard work into a blog, like my recent one about champions not making sense thematically, only to have it knocked off the front page in about 2 hours and only 2 people really got to see it. :/

Edit: Lol Jhois suggestion would make MOBAFire feel like facebook.

To be honest, I think the most blog-like part of the forum is the Competitive section, where people have taken to blogging their progress through ranked.
