Last night hit a boiling point, so I went back and checked over the last 3 months, just to make sure I wasn't overreacting, and nope turns out I wasn't. Over the past 3 months I have played in 16 inhouse games, 12 of which I have played support. I wasn't too far off, but in 75% of the games (11 of the past 12 have been support), I play support. I am ****ing tired of supporting virtually every game for you all. As you might have noticed, it's not exactly a rewarding role, it's even more aggravating when I can look across the lanes and know that I can play those roles better than the people that insist upon them. But it's not about winning or losing, it's not about playing a carry role every time, quite frankly I could care less, and I know its about learning. But every single week, it's the same people insisting on the same roles and those same people feeding. It seriously becomes a question of "why the **** am i wasting my time trying to support people that can't be helped". Should I just ****ing sit on the platform waiting for those one, two, or three players to lose the game for us? None of you (with exception to corebear) have a clue how ****ing difficult it is to carry from the support role, it's even more of a pain when you have your top and mid feeding or top/jungle, whatever.

And again, none of this is directed at phil or any one person, but more the entire NA community that plays inhouses. It would be a ****ing miracle if someone other than Corebear and I played support, but I don't suspect that anyone on the NA side will sack up and learn support, because it doesn't involve beating your head on the keyboard until everything in front of you is dead. And it's pretty amazing, because every week, I sign up for 4 sometimes even 5 roles, and for some reason, people look at that and only see one role; support. Does the fact that when I sign up and see only 2 people (myself and corebear) signed up for support mean that we're supposed to play it every ****ing game? Apparently, thats been my experience, I haven't talked to corebear personally on it, quite frankly I don't know if he has a problem with it, but I would suspect he gets tired of it every once in a while. And someone yesterday said "well you never ask for any other role". Should I have to ****ing ask to not play support every ******** game? Like is it so ridiculous that be offered a role other than support? Apparently so.

Anyway, I'm ****ing done. Inhouses used to be fun, whether or not you won or lost. They used to be a place where you could have fun with the community you interact with, and you could play whatever you want, and people were always willing to fill a role or allow you to try out whatever you want. But since, they've degenerated into this solo queue type mentality where there are two people that get into lobby and insta-call mid and top; and worse continue to insist upon it for the rest of the night. It honestly isn't that much different than solo queue anymore.

So going forward, I will not play support, at all, in any future inhouses. If i get support, I'll just politely leave or play whatever the hell I feel like, even if it's troll or even if it ruins the game. I'm beyond the point of caring, i don't care if I get points, because quite frankly I don't know how much I want to continue showing up in the future.

Carry your carry as support. Its what I have been doing in ranked team for years, and it is rewarding like hell.

Yeah, its definitely possible to carry as a support. Harder than other lanes but its doable. Nid is not a carry support though.

You guys gotta realize, that even though the way he went off the handle was a bit out of it, he's had to support almost every inhouse for a few sets now. I thought about it, and even though it pissed me off, I've tried to think of ways to make it easier to get roles you actually want to play.

I apologize that I never realized this, and I'll even learn support myself (don't expect much though, I've tried before and it never ends very well).

I don't host inhouses or anything, but this sounds a little ridiculous to me. If you don't want to support every game, you shouldn't have to play it more than 20% of the time. As far as I'm concerned, no player should be forced to play the same role twice in a row if they don't want to.

If people are just calling the same roles every game, get the host to intervene or something. There's no way it's fair for people to make you support 12 out of 16 games if you're sick of it.

Maybe we should have some clearer rules about champion selection since pick order doesn't really mean anything in custom draft.

ACTUALLY, about the first 15 minutes of a balanced botlane matchup, is decided by the support. Simply because the support (unless you're someone like soraka) dictates the pace of the game.

Of course, this doesn't apply if the carry is a full tier or two higher than the support or if the difference between the botlanes is too big.

Was Moon always 4th or 5th pick though? Or did he just ask "what are you playing" and every time pretty much everything except for support got claimed?

@ Moon: just pick what you want to play, seriously >.> Others will have to learn to support, simple as that. Even if someone says "I want to top", that doesn't necessarily mean they'll ragequit if you pick it instead after declaring you want it too.

Edit: btw, @ everyone, I don't think Moon is looking for comments on how supports can carry games. He plays enough support to know :P

Oh yeah, that's why I like support. Right up until about level 6 you ARE the carry botlane. My point was it is easier to carry a game as a jungler/mid rather than as a support.

P.S. I was the one who replaced you supporting the next two games, I main it, so next time just come on my team and you will be guaranteed not to support unless you would like to.

I mean, I was always first pick, and I like mid and jungle. the problem is we'd go into pick before deciding anything, and I'd be like "wait what am I picking?" and about 20 seconds before I had to pick something I'd just go mid.

I think the best idea is to discuss this and roles before the host starts, because I know i've been part of the problem, but I've been learning new roles lately. I think before I start in houses from now on I'll ask teams to talk about their comp and roles in ventrilo or through pms.

Usually moon was last pick (it tends to be that the higher ELO players that I move around in balancing are last pick.) and I do apologize for it. I'll do what I can to make sure players get to talk about their roles more before I start the match. I hope this will alleviate some of the annoyance.
