Add me on Steam! seeminglymeaningless. Bought the latest expansion a few days ago, but haven't had a chance yet to play it. I heard that the new trade route system and tourism system are great ^^
I love it! Haven't played it in a while and the most recent expansion I have is Gods and Kings, but I think that one is outdated by now. I would play it more but I can't stand the faster modes and epic mode is my favorite but the matches take literally over 15 hours against decent AI and on the largest maps. Also I don't like the multiplayer because nobody will stay in a game for the whole duration unless it's the fastest game mode, which I don't like as much as the others. It's one of my favorite games of all time, though, and I think I'd be willing to play if other people are (and not 1v1, I'm quite horrible). I've checked out BNW, might buy it since I've been wanting better/different diplomacy for a while and new money seems interesting. Also I would be very welcoming to a change to the way the AI reacts to you and stuff, I mean most of the time AI will refuse any trade even if it's like 30 Iron for 1 gold. The new trade routes seem cool also. Some of the new civs seem cool also, but from what I've read isn't Venice just a downgraded Austria? And the tourism seems a little odd and I'm not sure I agree with it, especially since you can really only win with it near the end of the game and the other victories go much faster.
EDIT : Also, does anybody have a problem with the AI playing as Greece? They always seem to hate me when I play. India has some weird personality also. Well they all do, just Greece hates me more than others and India is just particularly weird from my experience.

venice gets
1. only one city
2. cannot annex cities
3. may purchase units/buildings in puppeted cities
4. double the amount of trade routes
5. merchant of venice unique unit (replaces great merchant, gains extra gold on a city state mission or can be used to puppet a city state)
6. great galle***, which is a stronger version of the galle***.
while it might look like a downgraded austria, venice is probably one of the most unique civs in civ5 currently.
and yes tourism does take a while (especially if other civs are going culture/tourism victory too), but it is a much better system than 'stare at the policy trees until you can get utopia'
in general, brave new world was aimed at improving the late game, while g&k was aimed at improving the early game.

Bought it while it was on sale and finally got to play it today.
Started on the tutorial (which I found pretty lacking), and just kinda played with it. I was pretty surprised when I saw GANDHI'S ARMY (what lol?) confront me!
Played it for 3 hours when I really shouldn't have, had a lot of trouble saving but finally decided to save. Couldn't find the save option. Started feeling crazy. WHAT YOU CAN'T SAVE TUTORIAL GAMES?! Effff.... those 3 hours, I was going to take the Byzantines to glory!
I don't have a good idea of how the multiplayer works. It took me 3 hours to get to the medieval age so I'm concerned how long it would take, haha. Really fun game though and I hope to play it more, might add some of you guys if I find I want to play against real people!

Mowen, it's a great game and I'm glad you tried it out :D There's a running joke that Gandhi is the most aggressive and non-peaceful AI, despite his real-world persona.
Multiplayer is somewhat easier, as you share technology and generally resources and religion etc. However, if you have a bad player on your team, they can drag your team score down. If they make dumb decisions, like waging war on the strongest enemy team, you'll probably be doomed.

I've been playing the super old version of civ on the xbox. Civ revolution. Loll so hard on deity... THE POWER THOSE AI HAVE. I need to get a computer that can run civ, heard its super fun, better then civ 4 in some respects. Does anyone know if they added mod support yet?
