doing another attempt to revive this thread. Once again I told myself to start playing more solo queue but once again solo queue anxiety got the best of me. I've spent the last few weeks leveling up my smurf instead and today I finally hit level 30. Hopefully playing on a smurf will make it easier for me to actually queue up so I can start learning stuff and improving again.
So starting tomorrow I'm gonna start stomping my way through my placement games. Will be jungling every game I can, focusing mainly on playing Elise and Lee Sin as much as possible. I'm still looking for a solid 3rd champion to pick buuut I don't have enough IP/RP for another one yet so yeah... (not sure wat im gonna do if elise and lee sin get banned/picked)
let's hope this will help turn this awfully disappointing season for me so far around.

The only ranked person in your game was silver IV, so that's really the only indiciation of where your MMR is.
I can duo with you if you want, when you reach high gold / plat? :P Though you'll have to put up with me playing Talon every game. xP

aaand 10-0. Placed in gold 3. Not too bad for an account that literally just hit 30 and doesn't even have completed runepages I guess.

My overall thoughts: pretty smooth placement games. Got jungle in all but 2 games. Most of them I was able to snowball the game really early on and just win it from there, except for 1 game where I really felt like it was impossible to win but I managed to pull it out in the end by going for a very offensive Lee Sin build and looking for picks on carries.
So yeah, pretty happy with how this went. I'm going on a holiday in 2 days and after that I'm gonna try and get this account to platinum.

Congrats. So you plan to get it to Plat and then use it as a practice account then try to get higher ELO on your main account? It'd just be sad if it took a while to get plat. :P

Back from holiday, trying to get back into the game. Wanted to post my thoughts about my first loss on smurf account.

game started off really bad as we gave up first blood to a late blitzcrank invade. It continued to go badly as the level 3 double buff master yi caught me after I had just killed my red buff on pretty low health.
Being behind I decided to focus on the only lane who wasn't behind at that point, hoping for some kills to get back into the game. Ahri and me managed to kill the enemy Lux several times and we took control of the game again by constantly roaming bot. We took dragon control and I took control of 3 of the buffs for the next 20 minutes. I ended up getting really fed because both mid and bot were very easy to gank.
Right when it looked like we were starting to win the game, I got caught clearing a ward on low health by a Lux ultimate. I reacted way too slow and my death caused us to lose both Baron and an inhibitor. Eventually we got overwhelmed by the fed Garen who had been dominating top lane with the help of Master Yi.
So overall, I felt like I made the right decisions early game to come back from a really bad start. With the help of Ahri I took back control of the game and looked to be carrying the team to victory buuuut then I choked and pretty much lost us the game.
Even though my score looks pretty good, I still feel like the loss was entirely my fault and definitely one I could have avoided.
