Yaya: I'm not sure what you've done to this besides apply the texture to the background, and maybe used Topaz? I like the simplicity of it.

Corrections folder includes Brightness/Contrast, Levels, Curves, Vibrance and Color Balance.
Based on Maw's feedback on borders and Nameless' on the texture's opacity, I slightly tweaked my submission:

Well, jhoi did say this is the one time we could completely change entries but I don't think that's right :P Most of us gave out our opinions and suggestions for the sigs so it wouldn't be fair to change them now, in my opinion. But whatever I guess.

Thank you for your feedback!
I've changed some things and added now blur effect. I had to search for a tutorial
because I've never did this. :s
I don't know if the result is better or even worse than the original one.
Any opinions?
The contrast looks great but the blur is way too much. Generally you'd want to apply the image in a new layer, add a low Gaussian blur and then delete the spear and other parts that don't look good. This way, you get an effect in which the spear is sharper than the other parts of the image so the eye focuses on the spear and the whole crack effect becomes more noticeable. Alternatively, you could apply the image and then smart sharpen it. Once you do that, delete most of the stuff but the spear to add some depth. You could try both and see which one looks better :) You'd also probably want to keep the crack sharp as well.
Oh, if you want to blur or sharpen something in photoshop go to filters. Don't blur it with the blur tool especially if you want to add a depth effect.
